Well how does an American Company weigh into the political debate in England use the fear of losing 1,000's of jobs. I was just watching Jamie Dimon weigh in on the debate about Britain leaving the EU to possibly to join the China / Russia efforts? But Dimon wants nothing to do with this so he went to Britain today to put a scare into his thousands of employees any actions will have repercussions in job loses in the thousands today in London. I mean Corporations have the right to make their voices heard but with this level of fear baiting I don't know.

They are using all sorts of scare tactics to try to win. It's very, very thuggish.

Anyone crazy enough to believe the powers that be will allow UK to leave Europe probably lap up the scare tactics too.

The decision has already been made, UK stay in the EU. That was very clear the day Cameron come back from the failed meetings in EU and told the country he feels we are stronger in.

"So if the UK leaves the EU, we may have no choice but to reorganise our business model here. Brexit could mean fewer JPMorgan jobs in the UK and more jobs in Europe."

So what exactly do you want? Do you want them to lie? "Oh no Brexit is not going to impact our operations at all"?

Funny thing is we live in a society where the most negative people are the loudest. This will be 70-30 win for the stay campaign and the loud minority will scream foul

Polls say something else. Also, the exit campaign may be able to mobilize easier.

Meh. I usually do the opposite of what JPMorgan/Goldman Sachs & co wants me to do.

I understand the point your making but the reality not much will happen to the bank at least for sometime to come. To go out and say we will have to layoff thousands of employees is a little disingenuous. You think they are going to walk away from billions of pounds to make a point. They are looking out for the cartel running things in Europe and the US. Other thing I do think its a bad idea to leave the EU but I do think weighing in on a Country political system like this is heavy handed.

I'm voting exit.

F**K the EU. They have too much power and it's too undemocratic. We need independence from this political empire ..

This just tells the Brits and the rest of us, we need to exit ASAP.

From a regulatory point of view, it makes absolutely no sense to focus EU operations in a country outside of the EU. That is a fact. You need not like it, but it is. Actually moving their base partially is not as big a deal as you might think. But it costs the company money in the short run, so why should they not speak up?

It has a lot to do with my feelings about money in politics these huge multi-national corporations yield too much influence in all areas of the political system. They also answer to the real people who pull the strings and the impact on them would likely be far greater because they would lose considerable influence.

The company has a right to state what they think the impact will be on them.

My question is can the UK retain economic ties while maintaining their legal independence or is it all or nothing?

Left wing scare tactics to keep Globalism running in the UK.

They need to leave

considering the safety net the EU (;)) installed for banks it is obv why they want the UK to stay. doing risky buisness like in greece is easier when u know u don't have to fix the mess and the EU bails u out.

Sounds pretty familiar.
CEOs of US companies also use scare tactics on their employees as a way of strong arming them.
