Celine Haga (Fight Finder) started out in Japanese female MMA organizations after only one year of training. From the outset, she was fed to opponents that were way more experienced and was outclassed in all her fights.
She has basically restarted her career.
She recently moved to the States and is now training with Jackson MMA.She seems much happier and the training is really making a difference. She won her first fight (since training at Jackson MMA) against Natasha Creger.
I hope the UFC will eventually sign her.
Her boyfriend is famous MMA fighter Joachim Hansen (Fight Finder).
Interestingly, Celine, who is ethnically Korean, is from Norway. She was adopted.
Her biological family are in Korea, but she's never met them.
She's still searching for them.
Her English is good enough and she has a cute personality (along with a tough fighting spirit).
Anyway, Celine's story makes me wonder what would happen if Rin Nakai and other Asian fighters trained in the US.
Also, are there any other active MMA couples that you can think of?
