Celebrities you have seen be dicks

Allen Iverson. I don't wanna keep rehashing the story but the topic is relevant so yea.

Meanest guy I've ever met, I made a thread about it when it happened. Long story short, saw him at Dave and Buster's attempted to say hi, he became hostile and started cursing at me. I walked away. Apparently he does this to everyone though so whatever. Lol

With that said, I met a lot of sweethearts too, like Heavy D (RIP), so it's basically a coin toss with those people.

wtf is this? Out of all the images you could’ve picked you chose a photoshopped image of Iverson on a team he never played for? Come on maaan.

Aside from the fighters that I've worked with & met over the years, I've met a few celebrities over the years. But they've all been positive encounters. Willem Dafoe, John Amos, Burt Young, Sable ( of WWE fame ), are a few who stand out as genuinely nice people. Jared Leto surprised me a bit because I'd heard beforehand that he could be somewhat standoffish to some people. But I met him on two occasions about a year apart & he was really cool both times. He even picked up on our conversation from the first meeting the second time. This impressed me considering how many people he must meet & interact with while acting in films & touring with his band.

Quite a few. Used to work at a country club and do house parties in rich sections of Long Island. 21st century Great Gatsby shit.

Actors are generally awful to be around. Histrionic, superficial and somehow completely boring at the same time. All the starfuckers out there would be real disappointed to meet them.

Although I'm guessing that kind of part scene probably attracts the more superficial element of actors or celebs generally.

lol that's amazing.

I had a friend who, ten years ago when she worked at a hotel in a small college town in the middle of nowhere, told me that Cuba Gooding Jr. stayed there. Said he came back beyond drunk after the bars closed and she was working the front desk, proceeded to walk directly around the front desk and hit on her/grope her. She said the the only reason she didn't get the police involved was because after she resisted, he left for his room... and she was scared to lose her job.

Fast forward a decade to the me-too movement and all the sudden he's being investigated by police for like five such incidents.

Snow Dogs will never be the same!

They say never meet your heroes.

Why anyone would put these guys on a pedestal is mental to me.

He might have been tired etc.

Fuck that. They bought and paid the moment they accepted fame.

Don't see no DDL stories here.

Drunk celeb stories are ok though. I once carried former England captain Brian Robson to bed after a heavy night and he was my hero when I was a kid.

I do have have to say though Nile Rogers is the coolest and best guy of any celebs I ever met. An absolute gentlemen. Top bloke, genuinely talented and a very nice guy.

Met actor Robert Lindsey at a book signing, he took the time to talk to everyone there, and I mean he had short conversations with everyone. No one word answers. He even gave up his chair for my pregnant wife. 10/10 top bloke.

Met a bunch of strongman competitors. Mark Felix, Big Loz, the Stoltman brothers, Magnus ver, Big Z. All very down to earth.

I'll be a dick to all of you guys aswell if you'll approach me at a bakery, an airport or god knows where else, smiling and asking me stupid stuff without making any sense or purpose besides you wanting to meet me.

How crazy. Back around that time, I went to a Yankees/Mariners game in the Kingdome and after the game, Eric Plunk and Greg Cadaret (I think) walked out the wrong door and onto the street. We swarmed then and I got a baseball signed by both guys.
Damn, lucky you. He was so rude about it to me. Everyone else was really nice. Maybe he was having an off day but if it a kid is in the dug out and asks politely take the few seconds and sign his ball.

Yeah, maybe an off day or something. He was swarmed by a shitload of kids when he walked onto the street, so maybe he couldn't say no lol. I didn't even know who he was, I just remember my dad handing me a baseball and telling me to go get their autograph.

Interesting. He was still stupid enough to trust the people around him (entourage) with garbage bags full of cash around his mansion. These bags had millions of cash and went missing periodically.

No wonder he went broke.

I have seen celebs in the streets rarely, but I haven't seen the need to go up and talk to them.

What's the point ?

So here was my interaction with him. I was 19 at the time training at Manfredo's Gym in RI. I was in the ring working on the mitts with my trainer and he rolls in with a camera crew. Apparently, he was set to film a insurance commercial for a local company as he had some money issues at the time. He walks over and says to me, "Why don't you get out of the ring and let a real fighter get in there." I was full of piss and vinegar back then so I stopped, looked at him, and said, "Sure, let me know when one shows up." He got super pissed and tried to "get" in the ring. A 75 year old boom mic guy held him back and I quipped, "I'm not your girl, I'll hit you back." Not the most respectful on my part haha and I'll admit that much. Peter Sr. the gym owner told him to come back later and it was the talk of the gym for months. How Red almost got his ass kicked by Paz lol.

Nice. When was that?
