I think the way to really punish weight misses is to have the penalty scale based on severity. One or two lbs and we can stick with the percentage of your purse as penance, but if you blow the weight by five lbs and your opponent STILL takes the fight? Judges should be instructed to deduct a point from a predetermined round. It'll force more draws and more "robberies" but guys shouldn't benefit from getting decisions against people who put their bodies through hell and made the sacrifices to make weight.
