Well, the entire album was covers, right? That's kind of how cover albums go. It's minimal effort using other people's work, and at least half the time the originals are still better.

Well, it was just a really weak follow up to the Use Your Illusion albums in my opinion. It was kind of like Terminator 3 as a semi-parody film right after Terminator 2.

And it was almost like they selected the songs to cover at random. It was a cover album of what sounds like mostly filler. Right after albums where top quality covers like Knockin' on Heaven's Door or Live and Let Die were middle of the pack as far as those records were concerned.

Sure, they can release whatever they want. But this reminded me of every now and then when a movie star films some crap on the side while they're on vacation and then turns it into a movie and tries to release it, or writes some dog shit script they can film in their spare time while they're on vacation.

Anyway, it's good that you liked the album more than I did. Glad someone got more enjoyment out of it.
