Copy/pasting the most relevant posts from Reddit, he showed up randomly and answered some questions.
"I would usually be around 285-290. I put on some mass for Brock and it was a mistake.
I cut down from 298-300 so about 35 pounds in a week
I made close to about 1.5 million that night
a million two bonus rest was sponsorship and purse. I usually averaged high six figures per fight in sponsors.
Lactic Acidosis. My body shut down live on TV. Stopped sweating and my organs began going into distress. Imagine how confused my corner was. I just got done dominating the "baddest man on the planet" and said I am done I can't go on. I was not sweating. I could not feel my legs. They pushed me out of my chair thinking I would get my second wind. Instead I got a ride to the ER
I was in pretty bad shape and do not remember a lot. It really took time for everyone to catch on that I was not cardio dumping but in serious trouble. The on site ER crew took my vitals and hailed the ambulance. At the ER they got it figured out pretty quickly. The fresh IV marks were a red flag.
Honestly the new USADA weight cutting rules are to prevent things like this. My weight cut had me in trouble and the adrenaline and the fight zapped the rest.
As for anything like hemofiltration that was what they were going to have to do. Basically I was in serious condition and had they not been able to get me reversed I was going to ICU and hemofiltration was going to be started. Kidneys were in real trouble but they gave me the right meds and got me stable.
Pretty weird to be a first time millionaire and sent to the ER with life threatening illness."
