If they want to do stuff like GoFundMe for girls only to watch the movie, or have Brie Larson talk politics incessantly, they shouldn't be too surprised if a few basement dudes write some premature bad reviews. I'm sure they'll have plenty of equally dishonest praise coming their way as well.

So this movie takes place in the 90's which is 20 years ago. So will they make her look older in Endgame and in future MCU movies?

Imagine if they give her that dyke haircut she sometimes has in the comics at the end of this movie.

Unless the film is an absolute dumpster fire, the pre-release reactions are almost always positive. Doubly so for this film which, because it's the MCU's first female led movie, is basically critic proof.

I'll reserve judgement until I read the reactions of people who have actually paid their own money to see it.

Exactly. I did like the one tweet that it was different than what he expected from the marketing. So that tweet made me more hopeful that the feminist propaganda was just that and the movie will be a normal Marvel hero movie with nothing being forced.

I would definitely not be shocked if Disney was paying reviewers. The 'love everything Disney' and 'crap on everything DC' seemed all too convenient. Content aside it just tough to get that time of uniformity.

Has it ever been confirmed that Disney or others are paying for positive reviews? Surely such a thing across dozens or even hundreds of reviews cannot be hidden for a long time. Disgruntled reviewers would post screen shots of the payments coming in to their accounts.

Has anyone ever provided such evidence? @Dragonlordxxxxx, or anyone have you heard or seen it?

Why would they be disgruntled? It’s similar to guys getting paid to post positive comments on amazon.

Disney will just keep them on retainer.

That would be a tough card for her to pull and a real risk against women of color cause it's dismissing their opinion and doing that while being white is a hell of a risk.

Not a Fan of Captain Marvel in the comics so that line dead to me. Anyways Mendelson looks like a show stealer eh. Also when someone says Marvel formula it sounds idiotic to me because I can clearly see how different a Coogler's style is vs say the Russos , Gunn or Waititi, that just reads like lazy fucking writing .

While I agree on directorial style, there are certain beats that Marvel movies tend to hit (and have been criticized for). Of course they generally make bank so the beats are their own justification. That doesn't mean a movie can't deviate from the formula and be successful, as GotG, Ragnarok and BP prove.

Anyway, I'm liking the sound of Mendelson stealing the show. He's one of those guys I wish was in everything.
