Are SJWs raging that Marvel isn't an overweight transgender person of color yet?
 
Ok...just watched the trailer. I'm a little worried about Brie Larson's personality in the movie. Kinda comes off as if she doesn't have one. Trailer was just alright for me. Nothing that cool except the old lady punch. Will still be going to watch it.

No we are both speculating on some parts but I am using fact in others.

We are speculating on how she and the movie will be received but early buzz is very positive and as we both agree Marvel does very well in managing their properties. but i go in with an open mind and will judge it when i see it. You seem to have already created a narrative that if it works or she is good that is just 'Marvel doing a good job with a shitty actor' so it seems your mind is already made up. But it is fact that she is a pretty highly celebrated actress for her acting chops. That certainly does not mean you have to like her or anything she does. This is an art form after all and anyone can hate any art including the most celebrated but personal dislike does not make it bad. As you say you can think she is crappy and that is ok. I would bet most others will disagree just as we saw with Gal in the Wonder Woman role that got tons of pre movie hate that turned into gushing praise after.

Looks really cool. Amped. The great thing too is if it’s a good enough movie it will really be a sick moment when she comes into play in Avengers 4.

I really hope she doesn't save the day

I'm fine with her putting work but if she single handedly saves all these older beloved characters from Thanos I'll be annoyed

I'm weary of this. Loved the original Xmen cast - the recast were alright ... mostly new Charles and Magneto

but a third starting of xmens gives me pause

But if anyone can pull it off it's Marvel

I mean they have to start over fresh or people are going to have some questions when Quick Silver shows up

The MCU Xmen is the ONLY Xmen.
Any "Xmen" movie with Mystique as a prominent Xman, Storm working for Apocalypse, Jean Grey killing Cyclops 15 minutes into a movie, and all the other dumb shit that was done....those are not Xmen movies. They were shitty fan fiction.

The only casting they got right was Xavier and Magneto.
 
I like it. Doesn't look like a typical origin story and doesn't show off a big bad. Agree with those that say she seems to lack presence though.

You seem like someone I wouldnt agree with on a lot of things. I have seen a lot of people say shes not a good actress on this board. Gal is hot , they just wanted her to have bigger boobs.

I just realized this movies plot has ALOT in common with Green lantern. Even the space team looked green lantern'ish. This will probably be a better version though.
 
That gets a big fat "meh" from me. I have zero attachement to the character (never read any comics involving her and she wasn't in any of the 90s cartoons I watched) and it otherwise looks like a bog-standard MCU origin flick. I've seen enough of those by now that they don't excite me.
