Over the last couple months I trained extensively with a purple belt from Japan who trains at Caol Uno's place -- he was preparing for the worlds. I'm not sure what exactly they teach, but this guy is an absolute beast, as well as being a super nice guy. I feel pity for his opponents tomorrow.

He says that Uno is a monster wrestler but not as good with the gi because he leaves himself open for neck chokes all the time.

Basically it seems they train mostly ground-based no-gi grappling. A very tight, smash-y game.

Wajyutsu Keisyukai is a gym founded by a Judoka , Yoshinori Nishi, winner of the first Lumax cup and the same guy that fought against rickson in some valetudo japan.

I don't think that Wajyutsu is style itself, but a mma Gym. A lot of guy train there with different background (Uno is a wrestler, Okami Akiyama and Dong Kim are judoka for examples)
