Canvas vs twill cotton pants? Difference?

Whats the difference between twill and canvas pants? I thought canvas has a tighter weave so it doesn’t breathe as well as twill. I never understood twill, Duck, and canvas.

They are both cotton. It is a matter of how the fabric is weaved. Canvas is a plain weave and twill is a diagnal weave. I do not know if there is a difference in durability.
