Relax, fight is happening!
"Proof": Max stepping in is extremely unlikely. Why would he go a weight class up and get smashed against a big LW? He would have no chance against Khabib and would risk getting injured thus being unable to defend against Ortega. There is literally no upside for Max unless you believe a FW could beat an undefeated LW who is thought to be closer to WW. As a sitting defending champ Max doesn't need to do such stupid favors to the UFC.
Also, Tony was giving interviews obviuously healthy and ready to go (Media Lunch). Since then training should be done, it is unlikely he would get injured since then. The injury would have been happened before that (as Dana claims). But why would the UFC send him to these media events and why would he hide it until fight week and then pull out - makes absolutely no sense.
