I still like Conor, but he needs to stay off the excuse wagon.

Conor broke once he saw that Nate wouldn't. He didn't give up, but he lost a big chunk of his confidence and energy when Nate was able to eat those left hands...then Nate just poured it on and steamrolled him.

There's no shame in that loss, unless you start blaming it on your stature.... Nate's just a taller, skinnier guy in the same goddamn weight class.

If he wanted to make an excuse to hype himself back up, just admit that he underestimated Nate... don't try that bullshit "I stepped up and fought a giant" narrative.

Don't they call lack of size the curse of the Irish?

What else can he say? He for murked in front of the world, he needs to make some kind of excuse, no matter how ridiculous it sounds and makes him look

pretty serious reversal. if nothing else it makes his pre-fight comments look ludicrous.

I agree. Wasn't he calling Nate a fat skinny cholo? They both weighed 169 or whatever and cut zero weight. Now Nate is so much bigger once he made Conor his bitch?

I don't want to hear any of his size excuses. Didn't this guy say to could beat Robbie Lawler or even Jon Jones? I think he was feeling himself too much with all his promo vids and messing around with the Mountain thinking he could handle naturally bigger men.

Does anyone doubt he'll be back to full-on idiot mode within twenty-four hours and have a chorus of Sherdog fuckwits echoing everything he says?

what happened to his own weight and the McGregor belt.
he was his own weight division

The king said he was a bigger man than RDA, brags about his reach advantage then gets bitch slapped by the guy who got beat by him. I thought all these guys at 155 were slow bums with no minds for movement.

All the shit about weight not mattering lol! Conor looked stung afterwards, like fuck! What just happened.

They don't fight in the same weight class. What weight did they fight at? 170lb, that's ww. Conor has fought in the 145lb for the last 3 years or so. Conor weighed 23lbs heavier for this fight. They are not in the same weight class. If they both fought at 155lbs, I think conor's cardio would have been much better and wouldn't have gassed out..

he usually cuts 20 or more lbs to make featherweight so basically he was in his walking weight just like diaz

dude, he didnt bulk up, he just didnt cut any weight, thats when you come in at your full potential , hydrated and natural 100% , he said it over and over and over leading up to the fight and his stupid coach too "u seen him on salad now watch him on steaks mate" lmao

he couldnt shut up about how he was going to be stronger faster and have more gas now that he didnt have to cut 20+ lbs

meh, why even bother arguing, ive never seen a fighter getting so rekt on sherdog lol

owned

yeah, the guy is just like any other delusional karate master.

He talked insane amounts of shit, then once he got fucking owned, he can't take it.

let the excuses keep piling up though lol, I fucking love it.

This angle was his plan b safety net excuse all along - it's why HE wanted the fight at 170 - he got to keep the fight I.E. the multi million $, still has a 145 belt AND a remaining possibility of a 155 title shot /2 belt scenario down the road (albeit slightly diminished Conor already planted the seed suggesting Nate should now match RDA and then rematch Conor for 155 belt assuming Nate where to prevail)
