Both fighters are at the peak of their careers, each bringing unique strengths to the ring. Canelo’s power and experience make him a formidable opponent, but Crawford’s technical skill and adaptability could prove to be the game-changer.

I believe Canelo is slightly favored due to his experience at the top level and his ability to adjust mid-fight, but Crawford’s undefeated record and versatility make him a serious threat.

I'd disagree that Canelo is at his peak. Crawford is, I believe, 38 and jumping multiple weight classes. I'm looking forward to this fight for sure but neither is the best version of these guys.

IMO.

Canelo is favored because he's fought at the higher weights for years while Crawford hasn't. You mention the ability to adjust mid-fight but that's actually Crawford's strength not so much Canelo's. Watch the Bivol fight. Canelo never made any real adjustments in there.

Crawford is at his peak? inactive, 38, and jumping 2 divisions to 168? Another one of your classics.

Once again you show just how poor your reading comprehension is. He never said Crawford was at his peak. In fact, he said the opposite. When he said "Crawford is" he was clearly referring to his age being up there at 38 years old. Did you not read how he concluded his post? I'll quote it for you verbatim: "neither is the best version of these guys."

It was poorly worded, by only saying he disagreed Canelo was at his peak, implying he agrees crawford is. I do admit to sometimes skimming over certain posters who usually post tripe, like you for example.

Thanks for admitting that yet again you were wrong and agreeing with me that you cannot comprehend what you read.

I'm surprised Canelo is favored, honestly. I could see perhaps if Canelo were a big 168.

Anyway, I'm feeling close decision or draw in this one. I was telling someone else, Canelo doesn't waste energy on things judges don't like. He comes forward, tries not to get hit clean and throws bombs every time. Even when his opponents cover up well, the impact of his shots can sway judges. Judges like what he does, even when he arguably doesn't do as much of it as he should.

I'm kind of thinking this may be a poor man's Hagler v Leonard.

yeah, when Canelo “We’re Going to a Decision” Alvarez let Berlanga AND Scull skate to “I survived Saul”-status, I became much more convinced this fight was not only relevant but fairly dangerous for Canelo. He’s lost a step, lost his hunger or his killer instinct maybe? Crawford took almost 0 damage his career, and can probably outbox Canelo if he uses his feet, if Canelo can’t get Crawford’s respect immediately with his one-at-a-time approach, well…

Good time for them to fight.
