Canelo vs Crawford scorecard

115-113 crawford

neither guy did anything significant
and most of the rounds could have gone either way
i felt some rounds canelo had more effective punches, but tc landed more
seemed like crawford took the last round

the commentary were so one-sided for crawford, it was hard to stay objective
It was quickly looking like a Crawford controlled fight though which in of itself was shocking to a lot of people.

And I'm saying this as someone rooting for Canelo. Bud outclassed him.

I thought the commentary and Skipper Kelp were off base... But in the end I had it 115-113 Crawford.

Crawford hit Canelo with numerous clean, hard combos, but Canelo's chin is what allowed him to take it and tank forward.

I think 90% of fighters would have been dropped/stopped by those shots.
Absolutely, Canelo has a cement head.

It was a match to be expected. Skill wise, I knew Crawford was gonna edge him and look like the more fresh fighter, especially in the later stages. Canelo is however a very durable guy who is a savvy veteran. You are not gonna take that guy out. Knew it would be decision if Crawford would win. Only route for victory I had for Canelo winning is if he somehow stopped Crawford. He hit him with some good shots here and there, but nothing which obviously hurt Bud. Id like to see Crawford at this weight against a couple of its up and comers/contenders, but who knows what he will choose to do.

Either way, he cemented himself as one of this eras finest.

Looked at Judges score cards . It was how rhe rounds were scored make no sense . Other than 2 or 3 rds Crawford was just out classing him boxing it was evident to me an all I was with watching (mostly canelo fans) . However if Canelo would of won 12th rd its a majority draw . Canelo truly does get the JCC judges treatment

Didn’t score, I could probably squint real hard and drum up 4 rounds for Canelo, maybe 5 if I tried real hard, but this fight felt more like a 9-3 fight by the end, if it was close on the cards it didn’t feel like it by the conclusion

the early rounds were very close, neither guy really did much.

so if you gave all the close rounds to canelo, you could come up with something like 7-5 crawford. otherwise i felt it was more of a blowout, probably 9-3.

I thought the commentary and Skipper Kelp were off base... But in the end I had it 115-113 Crawford.
I also had it 115/113 Crawford and seems to be the most common score I see from people I know and respect.

I was concerned about that commentary team , I even mentioned it before the fight. Digging Ward up from where ever he's been lately just to commentate on his buddy's fight was ridiculous.

That's a criminally shit verdict. Alvarez won only 3 rounds, and only by a slight margin. Every round won by Crawford was clear cut and definitive.

Absolutely, Canelo has a cement head.

Yeah no doubt but Bud wasn't in there trying to knock him out and he slightly hurt Canelo couple times especially in the last 10 seconds of the 12th

I think there were 3 rounds that I couldn't really pick a winner so I gave 10/10, (it's my own style).
In saying that, I think I had Crawford on 118, (so he technically could have lost 5 if I HAD to choose a winner for those 3 rounds).

This is why i've lost the love for boxing

Everyone saw Crawford completely outclass Canelo the whole night... but we were still nervous about the decision given how badly GGG was robbed. not sure how you can find more than 3 rounds for Canelo, but then again the judging criteria is so vague anything is possible.
