Media Canelo react to usman call out

My post said legacy. Nothing to do with Money. Canelo cares about unifying a division which has never been unified with 4 belts before. Not some random wrestler who knows how to pump out a Jab against LW's
I get that part, but calling Usman a random wrestler who knows how to pump a jab at LW's is what I'm talking about... please explain the psychology behind being an MMA fan, but constantly diminishing MMA and touting Boxing/Boxers as superior.

Who would win if it went round of boxing, round of mma ?

I don't even really think Canelo should go to MMA, I'm just pointing out part of the reason MMA fighters always call out Boxers is that MMA fighters are comfortable with Boxing, while Boxers aren't comfortable with MMA.

I don't understand why so many MMA fans watch MMA all the time and like it enough to be on Sherdog, yet shit on MMA and act like Boxing is superior. It's seems like some sort of weird self hate thing, I don't get it.
Top boxers do not call out MMA guys(To compete in MMA) because there is no reason for them to do so. MMA guys call them out for boxing because as Canelo states “Payday.” And nobody is shitting on MMA, we are shitting on penny pinching people like Dana and the WME brass.

MMA guys aren't afraid to Box, Boxers are afraid of MMA

If they get paid 10x more I bet anything they would make the jump over

If usman was making 8 figures? canelo wouldn't be on his lips

Canelo was fighting grown ass men at 15 years old as a professional, while Marty was dry humping other high school kids on a wrestling mat

Unless he got caught with a punch coming in. Usman has zero chance of beating Alvarez in boxing. He wouldn't last a round.

Not sure why you can't just say Usman wins easily in MMA while Alvarez does likewise in boxing. Then we're all agreement.
Usman would lose, but he would definitely last a round lol. I thought everyone learned this lesson after Conor fought Floyd, all the Boxing heads were saying Conor wouldn't land a punch and Floyd would KO him immediately lol.

I'm a big Usman fan and I hope he KO's Colby stiff this Saturday

However...Usman gets destroyed with ease in a boxing match vs Canelo, but it would be a nice payday without a doubt

I watch boxing and MMA a lot. Boxing wise Usman is a child compared to fucking CANELO. Usman has a better clinch, wrestling, kicks and submissions skills obviously but Canelo called him out wanting a payday. Usman isn't touching Canelo anywhere in boxing. Usman has a good Jab for MMA (Hell its not even as good as GSP's).

This is a real jab. Usman is a great champ but stay in your lane.

That's part of the reason, but not the entire reason.

Maybe you weren't, but go through this thread, or any other one talking about stuff like this. Lots of MMA fans shit on MMA fighters and act like Boxers are so superior.

I initially responded to someone who said "Canelo owns all this mma bums" and that dude is usually a decent poster, but when Boxing is brought up all of the sudden guys diminish the shit out of MMA.

Of course Canelo is a way better Boxer, nobody is disputing that

I just think it's weird how MMA fans always say a bunch of disrespectful shit once Boxing gets brought up like it's this superior sport

I know, my dude. But that has to do with trolling. Anytime there is a big boxing event, it gets brought up here. It’s happening more because both of the fights are occurring the same night. So, obviously, people are going to troll MMA paydays.

Yeah it's still weird, I don't think Boxing fans troll each other by saying MMA guys would win in street fights or whatever lol

It's like some MMA fans have a love hate relationship with the sport, they love MMA and absorb as much of it as they can, but they also hate it and say it isn't a legit sport, can't be taken seriously, the athletes are D tier, etc.

Youre just in some weird defense mode because you think im attacking boxing or something. Why would i just agree with what youre saying when that isnt what i think?

Self hating MMA fans are so weird, yes Canelo is a superstar and makes way more than Usman, Conor is a lot more comparable to him though... there are really good Boxers that aren't making Canelo money

And yes part of the reason Boxers never call out MMA fighters is because they would get absolutely destroyed in MMA, and MMA guys would definitely lose in Boxing, but they're at least somewhat comfortable with it

Oh i'd hardly say self hating. I just take find it hilarious that Canelo has said nothing to anyone, Usman is calling him out to box so Usman can get a payday, and the quote i reply to basically says how scared Canelo is of MMA. The dude plays another sport and has found more success there than he'd have found in MMA, get this "This pro fighter is scared to fight me in my sport" attitude and throw it in the garbage, it's very UFC 1. Canelo gives 0 fucks about MMA, he's a boxer who recognizes some comparatively unpopular dude looking to cash in on his name. Payday, Payday

I don't really disagree with what you're saying, I was just pointing out part of the reason MMA fighters are way more willing to go to Boxing is that they would do better Boxing than Boxers would do in MMA. It's not 100% that MMA fighters are broke and are desperate for a payday.

No matter what boxing takes longer. Usman would be less embarrassed. If usman fought Canelo in mma he would instantly take him down and smash him or submit him.
You don't understand the point.. Canelo would have a chance to catch him with the first punch. If you think that he wouldn't than there never have to be any fight in MMA between a striker and a wrestler/grappler as the striker wouldn't have no chance? No, the striker has always a chance. Sometimes a very slim one, but still a chance. Usman would have zero chance in boxing against Canelo..
