Candyman 1992

When people used to say candy man a bunch of times in front of the mirror, I used to think they were a real bad ass
What's weird, is that is proven fiction right away in the movie. I bet you and I are the same age, late 30's. We grew up watching the previews to the sequel, Farewell to the Flesh where Candyman was more of a slasher. In that movie, it happens. 5 time btw

I know what you’re trying to do, I’m not saying candy man in front of any mirror

One of my fav movies growing up as a kid and yes I was scared shitless to say it in front of a mirror. my cousin and I would walk to the top video and rent Horror movies growing up and we would egg each other on. Good times.

Fun fact Tony Todd (Candyman) was a theatre actor and it showed in his acting and haunting voice, They also had to use real bees. 9 outta 10 movie with a classy way to approach brutal stuff like racism. The Candyman remake is just hating white people and BS propaganda.

My dad let me watch that when I was a little too young.

The use of bees was totally left of field. Loved that.

It was ok. It has some good atmosphere but overall was kind of underwhelming.

But definitely better than the remake.

I found this movie to be a mix between Silence of the Lambs and Dracula. It was fantastic and a real mind fuck. Love some of the quotes: "Be my victim." "Sweets for the Sweet."

Was just talking about Candyman with a coworker yesterday afternoon!
Best thing about the film is it takes place in the Cabrini Green pjs

I heard he is the voice of Venom in the new Spiderman game

Tony Todd was so great as Candyman and Ben in the NOTLD remake.

The scene when her friend thinks she had murdererd her dog was genuinely unnerving and creepy
