NHL allows the worst athletes in as noted by F- level athletes becoming top picks like Wade Belak. Fat, lazy, unco-ordinated, and slow Dustin Byfuglien was a dominant powerforward because no one in the NHL could match his athleticism. And then he transitioned to a different position and became a top player at it.

But the MLB has the worst athletes on average.
