They pissed off a lot of people. A lot. You still don't realize that the sentiment in favor of the occupation is a tiny fraction of the population. The only reason it's taken this long to get the police into action is that they are following normal de-escalation procedures. They're getting as many people to leave on their own accord, using a series of strategies and measures, before they will use force. I've been listening to law enforcement specialists talk about it. When all is said and done, many of them are going to be fucked by the long dick of the law, and the organizers will be hit with huge fines and class action lawsuits.
