I don't think anyone should be forced, and obviously anyone who would be adversely affected by the vaccine should be exempt.
But being coerced is not exactly the same thing as being forced, and there is a very strong case to be made that mandates are the most ethical way to address the pandemic.

Basically, doing nothing is unethical, enforcing strict lockdowns is more harmful, and gently coercing the vaccine hesitant with mandates is the most ethical option to prevent a public health catastrophe.
Obviously, there are many different kinds of mandates, from vaccine passports to employment requirements to fines for noncompliance.
The exact nature of the best kinds of mandate is a matter of debate, but to stubbornly demand the end of all mandates while in a pandemic is asinine.
We may be approaching the phase of the pandemic where mandates are no longer required. Some experts think Omicron could be a blessing in disguise.
But we arent there yet, and occupying a city with unreasonable demands won't solve anything.
