I have the fairtex mma shorts the newer ones... those ones you can for sure

I also have the sprawl ones that have the rubber grip on the inner thigh... those would be awful, way too thick...

so it depends... I don't like the underwear lining that a lot of swim trunks have.... so I use board shorts for surfing and swimming.... some mma shorts you can, but some would be awful

Yes. The right mma shorts work great at the beach, pool etc. I've tried Clinch Gear and PunchTown and been very happy with them.
