Can you use two controllers at the same time for one player on PS4?

Ive been looking for an answer on the net but all I can find is stupid shit on connecting controllers (duh) and having two players on one account.

Basically I want to play God of War with my kid having a second controller to press square during fights.

I know you can duplicate controls on XBone.

I’m not talking about co-op/playing Atreus as a separate character.
