Can you name a UFC fighter with a better resume than Yoel who didn't get a title shot?

I know the drug test muddied the water but if we are to believe the drug test people it wasn't entirelly his fault and he failed out of competition.

So with that said, find me any fighter in UFC history that has had to do more than him to earn a title shot.

Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar on his current run

Max Holloway
Came here to say this. You could also make arguments for Cub Swanson and Dennis Bermudez back in when they both had really good streaks going.

Holloway, Hendricks, Brown & Magny

I guess Hendricks eventually got
the title shot, so you could take him
out... but otherwise, there's always
been some dude out there getting
shafted. Hell, even Trinaldo is on
a tear right now, albeit, all victories
coming over less than stellar quality
opponents, but i think its a 6 fight
win streak or some shit. Dude's
putting in mad work for a 37 year old.

Even Guillard put in a lot of work
back on his run in 2010-2011

His is damn good but not better. Rothwell would have been better if (he didnt) he would have beat JDS though imo.

Why would you say that? Max actually has more top10 wins and some of Romero's top wins are highly controversial as well

Max Holloway
who has he really beat that is better than Jacare & Kennedy? Cub already had his soul stolen by Frank, Oliveira suffered a freak injury, Stephens isn't a top 5 fighter, Lamas is his only top quality win.

I think Jacare and Kennedy are better than anyone Max has beat and that Brunson is on a similar level to Lamas. On top of that he doesn't have the UFC losses Max has even though those are old. Just my opinion though obviously.

You could make the same sort of claims about Yoel though.

Kennedy "retired" right after and Yoel should have been DQ'd etc.
Machida is old and broken down.
Jacare fight was a tossup.

Brunson was his only decent win :|

I still think Yoel is a beast but it's easy to nitpick and shit on a fighter's wins if you really want to. Both guys are impressive.

Holloway and T-Ferg...although LW is a shark tank so I can understand why but it's taking Ferguson a long time to get to the top for someone with his record.

Idk, but he just beat jacare and has the longest active win streak in the division, yet people are saying jacare should get the title shot over yoel
I dont agree.

Serious, or no?
You're seriously trying to say Holloways best win which is Lamas is better than Yoels which is Jacare? Lamas got KTFO'd by Mendes 2 fights ago then rebounded against Diego Sanchez, Jacares only UFC loss is to Yoel. Not trying to start an argument, just curious how you came to that conclusion.

Holloway, Hendricks, Brown & Magny

Seth Baczynski - LOSS
Chris Cope -1W-1L at time -> cut
Stephen Thompson - 1W-0L at time -> second fight in UFC - only other active fighter still in UFC along with Mike Pyle
Luis Ramos - 0W-1L at time -> cut
Mike Swick - 2nd fight after 2 year layoff arguably a better win at the time than the Thompson win -> retired
Jordan Mein - 1W-0L at time - 2nd UFC fight -> retired
Mike Pyle - 8W-3L at time -> Browns only win over someone with a UFC win streak of 2+ fights
Erick Silva - 4w-3L at time -> not cut yet
Lawler - LOSS

that streak is not better than Yoel's lol...or Holloways....

he fought bums or people on their way out

he fought bums or people on their way out
& He destroyed each of them
handily, as an elite fighter should.
& Had a close battle with Lawler.
Don't diminish his performance.

Romero had to cheat in more ways
than one to even be considered on
this hypothetical list of most deserved
win streaks.

No I'm trying to say that Max Holloway has done more regardless of the competition. :>
