Can you look yourself in the mirror and say you gave trump a chance?

I did...and still do so.

Unfortunately many Americans love their political party more than this country...

To be fair...many libs, leftists are engaging in the same behavior many repubs and conservatives did with Obama...

Never giving the man a chance
It's not remotely an equal comparison.
You can disagree with policies and politics, but you can judge a man's character by his words and actions. Conservatives acted like Obama was the anti-Christ. "He's a socialist/was born in Kenya/he's a Muslim/
Disagree with his policies, but Obama was never unpresidential. Bush 2.0 even looks like a scholar and a gentleman compared to Trump.
I may disagree with some conservative ideas, but I don't believe that all conservatives are evil. There are some things that we fundamentally just don't agree on. Universal healthcare isn't some nefarious scheme--it's common place in the rest of the modern states--and yet, you got people in the states acting like the government is opening "death panels".

Trump has peddled bullshit from day 1, saying the most ridiculous shit. He didn't get the same chance, nor did he deserve it, because he wasn't a serious candidate/politician. He SHOULD have had a lot more to prove because of his lack of experience. I wouldn't of expected conservatives to have taken Tony Stark or Will Smith seriously either had they ran.

Furthermore, the backlash against Trump is not a simple Republican vs Democrat matter. I honestly don't really see him as a Republican...not in the same sense as I see a guy like McConnel, Ryan, or Boehnner. The Republicans didn't even see him as a Republican--the majority of them didn't want him to run. And the guy was a Democrat for a long ass time, and even backed the Clintons. This has little to do with politics.
The backlash is against Trump as a person--his party is a distant 2nd.

At this point I have concrete things to dislike him for, as in things that have the potential to make my life significantly worse while offering no real upside. At best, my situation won't get worse, but it's not going to improve thanks to his policies.

I said right after the election that if he does good things I will give him credit, and would fully admit I was wrong about my perception of him.

I liked that he was against TPP... then he wants to shove the worst parts of TPP into the NAFTA renegotiation. Lets look at his other "accomplishments" people always bring up:

- Appointing a conservative judge.

Id bet money he had no idea who Gorsuch was before someone told him to pick him.. and saying "i pick (this guy)" is a laughably low bar for an achievement.

- The economy/stock market is doing great!

The numbers during the previous administration are called fake, and despite it being the previous admins fiscal year and trends being stable through the transition, its only real once hes in office. Just laughable.

And thats pretty much it... except for executive orders and signing statements that were either unconstitutional and/or complete nonsense...

And golf. Lots and lots of golf. And twitter. Except that one tweet that implicated him in obstruction of justice regarding Flynn, that wasnt him....

I do, after the election I got kinda surprised by the outcome, but looking into introspective I said fuck it! Let's see what's he's capable of, and I went with very low expectations. He actually did it! Went lower down the shitter. Muslim ban to start of, just forgot to add Saudi Arabia, arms deal, Russia ties. Long list! More recent net neutrality who you idiots are going to suffer through, I guess it's easier to call Snowden a traitor and have all your Info handed to big companies.
So how about you, how much time did it took to lose your faith on the Don?

Trump hasn’t really done anything horrible in his first year. Tax reform is coming and it’s going to fix a lot of issues regarding inequality. Healthcare reform will eventually come and we can get some of these scumbags off Medicaid. Trump is a little animated sometimes but the man has a good heart.

if by give a chance you mean 'doubt he'll actually screw things up too bad" then yes

but it's hard to trust a guy that was literally stone cold stunned and had a shave your head match to be a truly competent negotiator out of his field tbh

He isn't the devil, but hes a lot more than " a little animated sometimes"
It's amazing how low the bar has been set for this guy. lol I honestly can't imagine how many new Tea Party type groups and Joe the plumbers would spring up out the woodwork if a democrat President said a 1/10 of the shit that Trump did.

I'm not on a side, i dont care who gets the job done, as long as it gets done. I'll give Trump or whomever their props when they do a good job.
