I was looking for a video but didn't find it but it was real amazing to see the applause that Nate Diaz got from the crowd. I knew he was on another level now after the Mcgregor beatdown but even I was surprised by the level of stardom he is reaching.

2016 Nate Diaz is a draw.

I think Nate Diaz has surpassed Nick Diaz in stardom.

Someone who went to UFC 199 said Conor got booed big time every time he showed up on the big screen and that the crowd went apeshit for Nate

I can't believe someone made a thread about it. On second thought, this is Sherdog. Par for the course.

It's just a pissing contest with you guys all the time isn't it?

Well it was California, right ?

Though I suspect he'd get a good cheer almost anywhere. Except perhaps Dublin, or Boston.

Diaz bros are legitimate STARS

people's champs the way GSP never was

I WAS surprised.

Mother Fucker.

No, that's just literally what happened. I think it's cool that someone like Nate is almost more liked than a megastar like Conor.

Problem?

Indeed. Very nice to see him moving up in the world.

They liked that someone took the wind out of that gasbag's sails, it just happens to have been Nate.
Anyone that did it would get huge applause.

I'm guessing this someone who you speak of is the most credible/non biased source of all time correct? But no, no problem I just don't believe that he was "booed big time" as you say.

I was there, it was intense, but there's more to it. While in the crowd, many of us saw the Diaz Stockton Slap Dana tweet with the words, getting business done. So there was speculation going around the crowd that the deal got done, but nobody really knew. A few fights later, there was more twitter news that Diaz arrived to the Forum with Dana. So we're at the fights. Drinking. Great fights. There's all this buzz building on Twitter, speculation in the crowd, people talking to each other about it, then the Diaz McGregor 2 trailer played on the Jumbotron and the place started going wild, and then after the trailer they show Nate Diaz in the crowd on the big screen and the place just went bananas. It was insane. Diaz got a huge ovation, but there was a huge build up to his appearance.

I think he's more well liked and cheered within the MMA community and with the people that go to live events. But as far as mainstream I still believe Conor is far more popular than Nate.

I'm not too convinced that just anyone could have pulled it off like Nate did. Anyone would have been liked but it almost seems like Nate is some kind of icon now.

I was there, I don't remember McGregor getting booed. However, DC got booed like a motherfucka.
