Wrestling has always been the best base for mma
You have to admit, If Conor did not win that rematch he would be a washed up fighter. He never would have got that fight with Eddie, and never got that Mayweather fight.Nate's timing off the jab is excellent. He stuns alot of people with combinations that they were not expecting to be there. The second hit here comes out of nowhere. That timing on the second punch is exactly how to turn brains into scrambled eggs.

It would have been all over, roll up the circus tent lads. You have to admit, If Conor did not win that rematch he would be a washed up fighter. He never would have got that fight with Eddie, and never got that Mayweather fight.
The merits of wrestling are absolute, complete, and forever.merits of wrestling.
yesThe merits of wrestling are absolute, complete, and forever.
Hope that the gracies wont be able to influence it,if something like that happened. As far as the rules and regulations.yes
that being said, I do wonder what will happen if bjj was a NCAA sport.
Team diaz are all Gracie BJJ guys. I’m not sure I understand your pointI wouldn't consider Nate Diaz a gifted striker, but he stockton slapped the shit out of Conor till he panic wrestled, and Nate choked his ass till he tapped.
Nope. Not until they bring back Pride rules and even the playing field. If you're gonna constantly shoot for takedowns with no repercussions and just dry hump the dude that's BS. The threat of a soccer kick, head stomp, or knee to the face will make you think twice about using wrestle f'ing as your main weapon. Plus more exciting fights. The fighting style that produced the most champions by far. It would be nice to see how many came from a NCAA background. View attachment 874654

Another estimation involving select wrestlers that wrestled in high school and all ncaa wrestlers. The final number is 33 champions (more than the number on the graph)
Did he head kick ko someone with his TDD?
Ok let me spell it out for you.Team diaz are all Gracie BJJ guys. I’m not sure I understand your point
The gracies can definetely try, but economically the financial boosters behind any powerhouse athletic school are a much influential force than them as far as NCAA goes.Hope that the gracies wont be able to influence it,if something like that happened. As far as the rules and regulations.
Thanks!! Almost forgot about Felony Fights! The only people who hate on wrestling are idiotic dipshits who have never wrestled in their lives or dumb asses who should be watching felony fights or K1.
No one ever should.Learn some TDD,lads.
Aldo learned awesome defensive wrestling and is extremely difficult to take down, despite being a stand up fighter...whats everyone else's fucking excuse?
Also Khabib did make wrestlers look silly when he was still fighting. More of a testemant to his skill and Gaethje's lack of grappling than of the merits of wrestling.
You don't win fights with defensive actions, you dont even score points with themDid he sprawl with his karate?
You don't win fights with defensive actions, you dont even score points with them
Of course he has integrated wrestling into his skillset, but that doesn't make him a wrestler as you said beforeI tend to agree that TDD doesn't score points with some judges and takedowns do, they should be scored similarly imo.
But yes you can win fights with your defence, of course you can. You think Whittaker didn't win that fight against Jacare by keeping it on the feet? Or actually more accurately he got taken down at one point but used defensive wrestling to get back to his feet, then he beat the shit out of him.
