Can we stop pretending whittaker is some monster striker

He beat the shit out of Romero and Jacare on the feet and arguably beat Izzy in the rematch. He’s a decent striker

There's a reason why so many fighters respect him, he is so damn good, and a treat to watch (beautiful / unique style). One of the best strikers in mma history, he's fought the cream of the crop.

His only issue has been durability and lack of punching power. He's properly rated.

He's only lost 3 of 17 fights in the last 10 years. Two to Izzy. One to DDP. All top competition. If it wasn't for Izzy, he would've dominated MW for years. Bro is a beast and you have to be insanely casual to think otherwise.
 
If you combine CC's kicks, Tyson's punches, and Ali's movement and speed, you get Whittaker. I mean it's clear he could have won a boxing title or a K1 GP. It's so obvious it's pitiful to make threads denying it. I've heard rumblings from boxing that they were very fearful that he might switch to boxing and dominate.

Whittaker has objectively the 3rd best resumé in the history of the UFC middleweight division.

I do think he's overrated too but not because of last night I truly though he lost to till and yoel as well. He was lucky to get his hand raised in either of those fights too. Last night was only clos-ish. Costa did do more damage with less volume though. which is what divides peoples opinion. costa may have won a 5 round fight.
 
What a bum. He only beat Romero, Jacare, Canonnier, Brunson, Vettori, Hall, Gastelum, Till, Tavares, and now Costa. Pleb resume if you ask me.

These two concussed Whittaker like a dozen times combined… even in the Izzy rematch he got dropped like a sack of potatoes early before going into survival mode and humping Izzy’s leg the rest of the fight…. It wasn’t even close lol.

Whittaker lit up Yoel in both fights besides the one time he hurt rob. I’m talking about the Izzy rematch and it was super close, rob arguably won that fight, a lot of people think rob won
 
An undersized fighter that has great fight IQ. Not a monster striker but very good still.
