My thinking, exactly. I think he should consider giving up fighting and work on his podcast with Bisping and getting announcing gigs. He was a good fighter but never great and definitely not good enough to take fights on short notice against guys like Rountree. He looked really soft.

Smith has almost 60 MMA fights, no belts, got his ass beat in two weight classes, almost died against Glover and refused an easy W against the one of the greatest fighters of all time to….get his ass beat. He has heart in spades, and his nickname is fitting. Lions only have one direction to go when they get old.

Give him a step down in competition and see how he does. Have him fight someone ranked 13-20 like Ion Cutelaba and see if he can still beat a top 15-20ish level guy.

Smith almost got a title shot off some BS but dude has no heart. Dudes nickname is literally Lion Heart but is the opposite. In the Glover fight he clearly attempted to get his corner to stop it "he knocked my teeth out." Dude wanted out. Now he gets rocked and turtles into a ball. He should be PFL bound but the UFC likes him for some reason. I'm guessing he gets Cutalabba next to save his job.

I don’t get the hate. The dude is a legit to 10 that’s shown he’s not too 5. I think the majority of his fights are fun to watch and violent. If he needs to go so does like 60% of the LHW roster

I think he should hang it up, he's got over 50 fights. I've always rooted for him and he's a hell of an analyst. I never really got the hate for him. To each their own I guess
