Can we finally admit that Paddy isn't even half as good as Conor was?

I bit my tongue for a while about Paddy. I listened to you guys hype him up even though I didn't believe in him. But you guys were so confident he was the next Conor and the next face of the UFC. I listened and kept my mouth shut believing I was being open minded and giving the kid a fair shot.

Well enough is enough. I don't see very much talent in Paddy at all. He is a fringe top 10 guy at best and would get absolutely steamrolled if he fought the upper level guys at 155. Islam would literally murder him. Charles, Dustin, Chandler, Gaethje, Dariush, Gamrot and a few others would absolutely skin his bum clean. Hell, even Tony and Jim Miller could beat this kid.

Say what you will about Conor, but at his best he was elite and ready to fight top comp the moment he walked through the door. Don't ever compare Paddy to Conor!
 
Did people ever think that? Since the first fight his level was quite obviously unranked material at lw.
He entertains people, but managed to lose a lot of fans with his delusional, insecure talk yesterday.

I watched him fight live last night for the first time. Had only saw highlights before.

Nothing like Conor's run. Dude looked absolutely unbeatable against everyone until he brought that ponytail guy on full time.

Even the Max fight everyone goes on about. It was an obvious clear win for McGregor. He outclassed him in the feet until he blew his leg out and then took him down.

Even Mendes. He got the takedown but besides that, Conor thoroughly beat the dogshit out of him.

Conor would make Paddy hold his pocket.

Yes that's exactly what I mean. Conor was elite from the very first moment he stepped in the octagon. The eye test confirmed he was ready to fight top competition straight away. Paddy on the other hand looks like a fringe top 10 guy at best and his performances indicate that. The UfC was right to put the promotional machine behind Conor, but with paddy not so much

News flash they’re both shit - Connie at least beat up on dudes he should have.
 
Paddy has nothing to do with Conor. Not every fighter from the UK is comparable to Conor. Not every Russian is comparable to Khabib. Also, nobody says Paddy is the second coming of Conor.
 
I’m concerned if anybody ever thought that. I’m no Conor fan but he ran through the lesser competition. Paddy has not run through anybody and his holes were evident even against guys at the bottom of the division.
 
He's better than most would think, but not nearly as good as he proclaims to be. Gifted a decision last night.
 
I don’t remember too many people here saying Paddy is better than or will be better than Conor. I see a lot of people comparing Paddy’s interviews and trash talk to Conor, or saying Paddy is trying to be like Conor, but that’s about it.
