I have been watching a lot of videos on people picking tony vs khabib, khabib is the favourite pick most of the time..

But why aren't people mentioning tony catching khabib in a darce/guillotine choke when khabib tries to grapple?

We have seen tony choking people with the darce with very smooth, slick front headlocks transitions..

Of course we have seen khabib getting out of 2 guillotine chokes attempts in the ufc.. one from RDA and the other is Johnson.. but tony' S chokes are dangerous too..
 
Can Tony submit Khabib?
Tony is a highly-skilled submission artist, and Khabib is human, so the answer is yes.
 
Can’t see Khabib tapping, if Tony manages to secure something I think it’s more likely he’s going out or there’s a loud snap.
 
dont really see it happening... never know tho!!
 
That's actually how I see Tony beating him if it does happen and Khabib slips up. I don't see it happening on the feet like I've read on here. Khabib will be his usual maul self and toss Tony to the mat like the other 25 guys. I see Khabib champ but it only takes one slip up.
 
anything is possible. tony is a beast on the ground.

However, i'm just waiting for the Khabib trash talk during ground and pound "Look at you, stupid guy. Just quit now while you still have face. Be smart guy and tap now."
 
Ferg can submit anyone in the division. He is very slick in transitions and anyone can get caught.
 
Of course he can, just like Khabib can knock him out on the feet.
 
I said 100x times - it's not possible, and I was so many times wrong, that even in this case... It's hard to imagine but yes. He can.

I can't imagine Tony getting GnP'd like Edson or MJ were, but still this can happen too.

It's certainly a fight everything can happen. Leaning towards Khabib, but man, Tony is no joke. This dude is lethal and if Khabib couldn't finish Barboza.... Well let's say Tony is another level of endurance.


Cannot wait for this fight.

Khabib will look to take it down clinch style, trips or bodylocks. I don't see him putting his neck out
 
in a philosophical sense, yes he can.

as far as the actual fight goes, he will not. he will attempt a few attacks, but khabib will shrug them off and hurt him for it.

Exactly what I’m thinking, and it’s also why I think Tony is drilling his ass off with various chokes in the gym. I still got Khabib though, but you never know.
 
He can, in the same way I can have a threesome with Margot Robbie and Morena Baccarin.

Theoretically it's possible, but it's simply not going to happen unless vast amounts of money changes hands illegally.

Grappling is Khabib's biggest strength. People just don't see him getting submitted. If Tony can pull that off it would be huge but I don't see it.

He tends to chain wrestle against the cage. If he level changes and Tony isn't directly backed up to the cage (meaning Tony is sideways or at an angle), Khabib's neck is in play for Tony's front headlock.

Obviously Khabib is aware of how good Tony is with it and how Tony's crazy reach let's him secure chokes that other guys can't so Khabib most likely will have a plan in place to deal with it. But like anything else, it's different when the bell rings and it's not training anymore.
 
Yes he can. But Khabib has tremendous posture and transitions. He will probably handle Ferg's scrambles seemingly easy at least early.

But should he gas or even get rocked than Ferg's chances rise consideribly.

If Ferg wants to win his best chances are way off the mat but he is always dangerous. Khabib cannot feel safe on the mat with him.

This match up is so awesome I cannot wait.
