Aging Can the right nutrition help prevent CTE?

Impossible to answer.

I will say high dose melatonin because it seems to have a role in just about everything. It does have a documented role in showing neuroprotective properties and has been used to treat TBI.

Separately I believe methylene blue also has neuroprotective properties. It also has some synergistic qualities when paired with melatonin.

In my opinion you can't go wrong with melatonin. It's exceedingly safe, has no known LD50 (lethal dose) and has many benefits.

If you do take melatonin and notice any weird minor side effects, you may need to take methyl based supplement/vitamin like TMG or methylfolate.

Alcohol and dehydration will make you more susceptible to tbi so def avoid that. Probably the most important thing is to not get hit in the first place.

Fish oil, lots of sleep, but maybe not right after a concussion?

NHK World had a natto TV special where a brief segment had a scientist say something like something from the fermented natto prevented the bad protein from building in the brain like it does for ALS people.

I think they say sleep is the only time when the brain flushes out that protein from the brain, so makes sense when lack of sleep results in foggy brain.
