Can someone explain why LGBT parade and awareness is a good thing?

Why do they feel the need to parade themselves naked with BDSM bondage gears in public? It's everywhere these days.

I just don't understand this. Why can't they keep their private life in the bedroom like everyone else? Why do they need tell everyone to promote it or a parade because they are attracted to the same sex?

Assless chaps and dildos is how people express their identity.

Get used to it bigot.

There are a lot of people out there that believe they don't deserve equal rights. Remember how many people backed up that twat, Kim Davis for refusing to sign a marriage certificate, despite being ordered by the court to do so? Ted Cruz even visited her in her home town.

She went to jail

Why do they feel the need to push the LGBT in sports and forcing players to give speech and wear rainbow colored armbands or in schools

They push LGBT issues in sports and force players to wear rainbows and give speeches? They make people wear armbands in schools? Can you tell me where you saw that? I don't believe I've ever heard of any of that.

I know in the 90s and 2000s there was still a lot of hate towards homosexuals. So the equal rights movement for them is very fresh and hasn't peaked yet. Hell they just finally got the right to marry recently. Sure it can be brash at times but over all the reason it's still important is because they are still making headway. The PC movement can definitely feel like too much at times when it's pounded down our throats.

Pretty much we still don't treat everyone as equals. If everyone tried to treat people well and fairly it wouldn't be an issue, but people choose to be assholes all the time.

Because they are [rightfully] trying to normalize their presence in society. They've been persecuted for, well, forever.

I'll agree that some people marching their kinks into the street are pretty fucking gross. But there's nothing wrong, at all, with the visibility of LGBT folks.

We could always see them

they're probably celebrating something silly like the ability to exercise freedom of sexuality in a country that won't legally kill or imprison people for it

Would you take your kids to see this nonsense?

Isn't it like Pride month? That to me really is excessive.

Anything beyond a day or two per year seems a lot like prosylitizing, or pushing your beliefs/views/culture/anything on others.

Yup.

One thing I've never understood is the whole, "They're shoving gayness in our faces!" complaint. I have never once felt that way at all, and I really have no idea where people get that impression from.

It's usually followed by, "Why do they have to TELL us they are gay? I don't care! I'm straight and I don't come out as straight!"

Well, yeah, if you ever talk about your spouse, then you have come out as straight. Every straight major celebrity has "come out" as straight by dating in public. The only difference is, gay people are put in this weird position where they have to basically tell everyone ahead of time before being seen with their significant others so the tabloids don't freak out.

I agree, and that's why I don't go watch gay people march when I know that will be the choice some of them make, and I don't look up pictures of their marches on the internet, like apparently a lot of outraged people enjoy doing.

Edit: Lol, just realized there's already proof of that in this thread. Here's a tip for everyone, if you don't like looking at pictures of gay people at parades, don't google gay people at parades.

If you based your estimate on prevalence in entertainment, you'd think like 30% of the population was gay. I have no idea why people think anybody cares about their sexual habits. If there were "I like to fuck blondes, or black chicks or Asian chicks" parades, people would correctly wonder why the hell you felt the need to tell everyone, but "I like to fuck people of the same sex" is considered progressive. It's weird as fuck when everyone is "the first gay ____", like that had anything to do with anything.
