Can someone explain to me what Conor is doing? Wasting his prime years on the couch.

He'll be 31 in a year?He just turned 30 a week ago..He'll be 32 in two years btw and 33 in three years.Seriously though,I don't really care what a fighter does,i'll watch when/if they fight.

Broke kid, suddenly rich, enjoying life, oblivious to the fact that no one will want to see him fight in 10 years when he’s broke.

he's afraid of fighting and let everyone find out what a big fat fraud he is

First of all, i do think he's ducking some of his most dangerous competition ever at LW.

But in terms of making career choices, that's one area where you can't criticise conor TS. You'd be better off criticising guys like Gaethje and Cowboy for the career choices they are making.

Lets go over what his career has looked at so far:

Runs through FW, becomes the interim champ and one of the most popular fighters in the sport.
Knocks out Aldo to become FW champ and eligible for taking the big money fights.
Loses to nate and avenges that loss instantly, becoming even more popular and lucrative.
Beats the LW champ to hold two belts.
Fights mayweather in the biggest money fight in combat sport history to go past that 100 million dollar figure.

And is now taking it easy, minimal brain or physical damage, with fans and haters alike waiting for him to come back. Whoever he fights next it's going to be the event of the year and make a ton of money again.

He's wasting his years? No quite the opposite. He's been very smart with making his money, more than any other fighter in the history of the sport in fact. He doesn't need to fight 10 - 20 more times in his career like most other fighters.

We've seen it again and again, lighter weight fighters tend to fall out of their prime in their early 30's.

We aren't talking about Heavyweights here, Conor and his peers will not still be world champions at 40, it simply doesn't happen. The smaller you are the more speed matters, reflexes matter, and we have seen that the younger guys at these weights tend to do well compared to the old dogs.

Conor has made a lot of cash, but these long periods of inactivity are going to cost him inside the cage.

What excuse has he really got to be completely injury-free and take 2 whole years off? He fights in the two most stacked divisions in MMA, he'll be 31 in a year, needs to be careful in my humble opinion.

Thoughts?

easy he hiding under hid bed tweeting stay ducking I mean stay ready.

I’ve been under the belief that he’s basically been delaying the fight with Khabib for as long as possible so he can get ready for it. He’s non stop training Bjj and wrestling according to his Instagram. I feel like he did the same thing with Nate too, he got himself pulled from 200 so he could buy sometime and get a little longer to prepare

Ripping the seat of his pants to provide Artem easy access during their special training sessions.

Because Conor has learned from the fertitta's, Dana, Floyd, it's better to be the boss and get paid than the fighter to get beaten up and paid. Hence his business venture McGregor Sports & Entertainment that hasn't promoted a damn thing since Dana & Floyd's Mayweather promotions decided to give him a percentage of the concession stand money from their fight to help balance out what the UFC/WME was gonna piece off from him...

He wants to fight the least for the most money.
He probably feels the more he waits, more money will be on the table.

Plus, as UFC doesn't have any star to outshine him.
They are so desperate they are bringing PED cheats like Lesnar back... if he passes USADA, that is...

So he has time and it favours his comeback... whether he wins or loses....(he is probably looking for one comeback fight, maybe 2 if he wins)...

he always said. He will be in, make money and get out. he is not looking for a long career as a fighter.

He is doing what-ever he wants. Sitting back and enjoying is aura that has surrounded him due to the false perception his fans and casuals have of him being the best P4P fighter today. If he fights he puts all that at risk and he is already filthy rich so why bother rushing anything.

I think he might be the best self-promoter to ever step foot in the octagon.

only Chael was in the same ballpark imo

He's conserving his health cause he's smart. Why fight like Shogun and get paid like Shogun when you can fight like Conor and get paid like Conor.

conor not being paid shogun money please.
he the highest paid on the roster you know that right
