Can someone explain the whole GSP aliens thing?

It was a pretty low thing of Joe to do. He pried it out of GSP when he knew it would make him look bad and then passed it off as head trauma when Pat asked him about it.

He was talking about retirement long before the Hendricks fight and the UFC basically showing him zero respect regarding drug testing probably helped his decision.

I rank him 2 all time behind Fedor. He is definitely the best UFC fighter ever, considering Andy and Juicehead are cheating bums, but let's be real: he got out in his prime because the strikers learned to wrestler and the wrestlers learned to strike. He ducked Hendricks like the plague, put up a massive stink about testing and then ceremoniously got the shit kicked out of him and retired promptly after the most corrupt champions gift decision since Bas Randleman. In the annals of MMA, it was probably the single most unresolved saga ever and very bad looking for GSP. The cherry picking of blind Bisping was also incredibly embarrassing.

Legends like BJ, Saku and Fedor weren't afraid to take their licks and let the next generation take over organically, and ironically, none of these guys have failed drug tests or been under the brow of suspicion for cheating; GSP tho, he always cherry picked, point fought, had suspicious "bumps" on his belly, an HGH gut and got out of the game as soon as he had a tough fight. It was no surprise that the other two dominant fighters of his time, Andy and Jones (who stayed in the UFC for USADA), ended up being revealed massive steroid cheats. Just calling a spade.

Only if you don't count tapping to strikes in his prime, retiring during his prime after getting starched by 70% Johny, generally avoiding the USADA era with his highly suspect physique, ducking Tyron, fighting oodles of weak competition, and being a dreadfully boring LnP artist.

GOATs persevere, they don't run and hide and cherry pick.

They also entertain.

It is sad really.. This is What happens to a lot of the fighters. Life long nausea, tinitus, blurred vision And minor brain damage.

He said a few weird things on Joe Rogan's podcast about him being scared of aliens and some nervous talk about abductions. It got blown out of proportion.

I recall the second time he was on JRE he said he was just uncomfortable because he wasn't sure what would be discussed and was a bit taken aback by the directness of the conversation.
 
He's a Canadian and everyone knows how screwed up Canadians are.
