Can someone explain the dislike for Jim Belushi

I would say mostly a victim of a general changing of the guard around the early/mid 90's

I think Jim Belushi is stalking me. He reportedly lives part of the time near to where I used to live in S. Oregon. He lived close to where I lived in Illinois. Then when I moved to Florida he opened a local bar. (Joking around a bit)

That's a new one of me. I hadn't heard of people disliking Jim Belushi all that much.

He made that movie where he was the dogs sidekick, but not Turner and Hooch.

i blame the blues brothers movie (1980), that fucking sucked shit.

the lesser brother is always slightly disliked and considered a nepotism beneficiary

Jim Belushi
Brian Doyle Murray
Randy Quaid
Zeppo Marx
Reginald McDonald

etc.

In Jim's case I believe it was stephen colbert on the strike force five podcast that told the story of Jim liking to pull audience members up on stage during improv shows and slap them,,,,,he said he would do it hard and the combination of the shock and them being in front of an audience would make it so they never slapped him back..

So one show, it happened and Colbert improv'ed a bit were he slapped Jim back hard and then encouraged the guy who got slapped to do it to. Think he said him and Jim had some heated words backstage after that one

thus Stephen > Jim

I think one of the other hosts talked about Jim getting into a pretty heated exchange with like Mr. T or some other tough guy of the era......So I think young Jim may have been a bit of a cocky douche
You forgot the GOAT lesser brother of them all…….

I always thought it s the same guy that played in lost in translation.

People compared him to his brother, and also he starred in some very stupid movies and shows.
This, and AFAIK only this. However, his new life chapter and crop selection was proof he was trying to improve his life.

I feel you be making this a bigger thing than it really is. I’ve never heard anything negative said about him.

Go out to bar sometime. I'll start talking to people about the weather or whatever and somehow they always seem to turn the conversation back into how much they hate Jim Belushi.

LOL that's one strange bar. The dude's not even on TV anymore

Its just that everyone liked his brother way, way more. I think when people look at him, they think, why couldnt John be here instead.

I know its cold as ice, but so is the world.
