Nope. Nate's struggled before to even make 155 (against RDA). He could never make 145 unless he wanted to end up dead or knocked out immediately by Conor. Nate is a large Lightweight that has fought and won against Welterweights at 170. He's too big.

Unfortunately, your dream is crushed. Conor is undefeated in the UFC in his own weight class and there he is still the king. Nate is a top 5 LW fighter that will never be champion and can't do well moving up. He has no place to go.

I think the ultimate plan is the one offered up by Conner. Have Nate challenge Dos Anus for the LW belt and Conner defend the FW belt vs. Aldo. The winner of the FW then can challenge the LW title holder, since both Aldo and Conner want to move up in weight anyway. (Hold both those fights at UFC 200.)

Sat. night was just 'bjpenns-balls-too-big-for-body" part 2. And since Conor is not as good on his back and has even worse cardio than BJ, he needs to stay out of the deep of the pool. Poor cardio + constantly having to punch upward and hyperextend = time was on Diaz's side. All Diaz had to do was just be bigger and weather the squall.
