It's funny, hearing fighters tell it in interviews, when Riggs was coming up at his lower weight in the mid-2000s he was unstoppable and incomparable in the gym. It's so interesting how some guys just can't translate it into the moment every time.
 
Amazing boxer and joe Riggs does not sound like something that should go together. And that's not discrediting Riggs.

Agreed. I think a lot of it is career management. You see some very questionable fights on his resume. The Diego fight is the worst
 
He can try, but I doubt he will be successful.
 
his fight master run was impressive as hell.

he made weight from around 190 to 170 4 times in 2 weeks or something? i dont care what anyone says, that's fucked and very impressive. shows heart and dedication.

Yes. I saw his fight to get into the finale for the show.. it wasn't really impressive nor was he ever really impressive on the show.


I missed the actual finale fight.. looks like he won. Congrats to him. I've never been a fan but I have never disliked him either. I just think his best days are behind him and I don't see him making his way back to the UFC
 
He's the Fight Master, so I'm sure Bellator has him locked down to some indentured servant type contract.
 
Actually he could probably keep up withing top 15 to maybe #10
