In your opinion what happaned in this fight? Age/injuries catch up with Cruz or did Cody just have his number?

Is it possible for Cruz to beat Cody in rematch?

If so how would have to fight Cody to win?

Yeah i think cruz can beat him if he learns van damn kick

I don't think so. Cruz wouldn't be the same coming back and Cody was clearly too fast for Dom, the one time where his footwork couldn't bail him out of trouble.

cody definitely had dominick's number in that first fight. but COULD dominick win in a rematch? of course. anything can happen in a fight.

Nope.

That was a 'he has his number' performance.

Cruz doesn't have the offensive tools to beat Cody and Cody isn't going to chase Cruz.

I'd favour TJ to beat Cruz in a rematch too.

No... I like Cruz but he's been injured too much in his career, he's not the same guy.

I don't think he has a chance, but in the cage anything can happen.

Cody is a top tier fighter... a bit one dimensional, but still very good.

a rematch if Cody loses to TJ would be nice to watch

Idk, Dom might not have the speed advantage.

Would watch a rematch tho.

Yeah he beats both tj and cody in a rematch #WARCRUZ

Sure, he could win but based on their last fight, I'd have to heavily favor Cody doing the same thing he already did. I also favor Cody vs TJ in the rematch.

Cruz can beat him if he can use his kicks. He was injured and couldnt properly kick in that fight, wich is a big part of his arsenal and regular strategy.

I think the Dominator is waiting for a title shot to come against TJ at some point.

That fight was much closer than people give it credit for. I know a lot of people had Dom winning it (not me, I think Cody won). Dom’s fight with TJ was really close too, his first UFC fight with Faber was close too. it’s not like he was just running through the division and got upset by Cody (like JJ vs Rose). I think Cody’s size, speed, and his style of fighting (looks better to judges) is what got him the win. And Dom was a little off that night, I think he had a minor injury or something?

If Dom’s body is the same I think he could win the fight by a very slim decision with a little better game planning, according to the 10 point system. But let’s be honest, CB is the better “fighter”.

He tore his plantar fasciitis in both feet, and has tendonitis in his whole body. As someone who has tendonitis is his whole body, I don't know how the fuck he went through the pain training. It gets to the point where I can't even lift my arm because of the inflamation, sometimes every step I take feels like my knee being stabbed by something, and turf toe and tennis elbow suck ass. Imagine not being able to extend your elbow all the way and when you eventually do it hurts like fuck, and the worst part about it is you can't fix tendonitis, you can only try to prevent it and that won't happen for a guy like Dom who does what he does.

Cody just knew how to exploit Cruz' questionable boxing without getting distracted by Dom's bouncing around all over the place. He even started to dance mocking Cruz.

CoGar would beat him again.

Yea, he’d be slower in the rematch.
Too much mileage and can’t stay healthy.

Yeah Cruz got knocked down a couple times too by Faber IIRC? And his Benavidez fight wasn't dominating either, he's always been a close decision type of guy against other elites but because he rarely lost people overlooked that.

If he commits to the jab, and wrestles more, he has a good chance. This fight is the so exaggerated as noncompetitive even though it is a 3-2 rounds fight. The cut literally changed more than the knock down too.
