Can Beer or Weed contribute to your health?

I dont drink alot of beer every day. But I do drink almost every day.

I will have 2-3 good beers after dinner and It always just mellows me out and
helps me relax. I usually end up listening to some music or reading a little bit of a book.
Maybe ill smoke a joint twice a week also. I like to take a hike in the local nature sanctuary and
find a nice spot to smoke a joint and chill for a little while in the fresh air.

What do you think. Does this sound like a healthy habit. And do you do anything like this?
Any opinions on vices like alcohol or beer of even marijuana being something that is good for people who dont abuse it
 
Sounds good. I think a few beer is good for the digestive system.
 
Yes, if it relaxes you then that will likely outweigh the negatives of drinking a couple beers. That's only a few standard drinks a day, nothing for a full grown man, and you can simply adjust your diet around the empty liquid cals. (I.e eat filling animal protein and reduce needless high gi carb intake to make up for your beer).
 
I think three beers a day is a little much to consider it a contributor to good health.

Enjoy your beers, and you're certainly not out of control, but know that you're not really doing your body any favors.

Ive always been really thin. 6'2 170 lbs.. I need to gain weight. But I definitely eat too many carbs and sometimes i feel like i get a carb crash. Need to work on that.
Its weird. My body wont gain weight from just eating junk food or carbs and sugar. It almost rejects it and will make me feel like shit. I gain a little weight when I eat animal protein and alot of veggies and fruits which is what I should be doing
 
2-3 beers per day is very good for everything. Digestive, brain, bone, mood, all this beer very good for.
 
All I know is everyone has different tastes. I personally think beer tastes horrible and prefer hard liquor once in a while. With that said . SWED. Smoke weed everyday! OG Kush preferably.
 
moderation is the key. smoking anything is bad for your breathing. No arguing that I'd think. I've read that a glass of wine a day is great for your health. Something to do with antioxidants. Never read that beer is good for anything except for the fact of how awesome you are when you drink like 12 of them.
 
Turns out that very little or no benefit comes from drinking, it definitely causes harm.

Smoking weed is definitely a stressor. Smoking weed with tobacco is about 7 times more cancer causing and is more addictive than either alone.
 
The more you relax and TRULY enjoy life the better your overall health will be, so maybe..
 
I dunno if it's good for the liver but I'll do the same and have a large 600ml bottle of beer every day at about 9.30pm, I don't see any problem. May not be good for health but it's sure good for the soul.
 
You seem to have the perfect balance, I wish I could be so gentile with my habits. As for the negatives, there are none in my eyes, you are gaining pleasure and we all die at some point, no matter what the health police say.
 
probably not, but come to think of it, what does contribute to your health? basically nothing, meat gives you cancer as the WHO said, fruits and vegetables are grown from genetically modified seeds who knows what the fuck is going on there, i think our health boat already sailed and it sunk, so drink and smoke away man
 
Weed is medicine now. Just don't let it become a crutch and you should be fine. And get a vaporizer, I've never smoked weed (joined military at 17), but I hear vaporizing is better than smoking.
