this gun is not made anymore nor is it legal in the states but I would like something similarly capable. its a 12 Gauge fully automatic shotgun with NO recoil. the thing that matters to me its the high round capacity and the no recoil. semi auto would be just fine if that's possible.

One of the AK shotguns (VEPR 12, KS-12, Saiga 12). Probably gonna run you at least $1k. If you want both semi auto and drum mag availability.
The VEPR got banned for sale in the US since 2017 via sanctions on Russia so you'll need to hit up GunBroker or a private sale.

1k is CHEAP compared what I thought it would cost. I'll look into these later tonight.

This is just for a range toy, right? If I was spending that much on a shotgun I'd get a Mossberg 940 or Benelli M4.
I'm not sure what you mean by a ranger toy man. I'm not really into guns all that much.

What I like about that gun is the high magazine rounds and the no kickback... the no recoil. That thing just seems like an absolute freaking monster.

Range toy. Mag fed semi auto shotguns aren't very reliable. And no 12 gauge out there we can buy has "no" recoil.

Yeah I know there's no no recoil but if you watch that video you can hold that gun with one hand and there's nearly nothing and that is just so freaking cool man.

Maybe a better question is what do Marines use when they're going into an area to clear buildings and stuff when they use 12 gauge shotguns what do they use in the military?

This would not be for hunting. This would just be straight up freaking home defense and zombie apocalypse stuff that I'm looking for.

Well marines use rifles for CQB and MOUT. Shotguns are the Mossberg 590A1 and Benelli M4.

<PlusJuan>

Your great grandkids would still be using that Mossberg in a zombie apocalypse over a fancy gimmick shotgun

I'm going to check out both of those shotguns you guys. reliability matters to me a lot actually.
do you know if either of these have little recoil?

They're both high quality firearms that won't kill your shoulder. The Benelli probably recoiled marginally less as it's a bit more expensive and quality.

thanks man. you should check out that video I posted there was nearly no recoil at all.

I just got one of these Beretta A300's . . .

I need to get it out and run some rounds through it.

Paying that much for a shotgun is a hard pill to swallow.
We had shotguns in Iraq for crowd control and I actually preferred the $500 590 to the $1500 Benelli M4. I can't stand pistol grips on shotguns.

I didn't pay anywhere close to that retail price listed. I paid less than $870.

I've been trying to talk myself into getting an M4, but went this way for now.

Was kinda thinking the same thing . @terrapin an ar 15 does all of the things you want that shotgun to do and then some.
I'm definitely not interested in an AR-15. I want a semi-automatic shotgun with no recoil but apparently the only one ever made is no longer made anymore which I posted in that video.

I won't be able to explain why because it's not even really rational. It's just the kind of gun I want... But only if there's no recoil like the one I posted in the video. But apparently such a gun is not made.

Yea you likely won't be able to explain because its not logical. I don't really see how a semi auto shotgun holding 20 is fine but a semi auto rifle with 30 makes you squirmy. An ar will do everything you want especially if recoil is something you really want to avoid. Still I wish you the best of luck in finding a gun that makes you happy.

It does sound to me like you want an "assault rifle" without having to say you own an "assault rifle".

@My Spot ...how brutal are those ar style shotguns? When I watch people shoot them on YouTube they look manageable but I dislike shotguns a great deal and suspect they do leave a mark if you shoot them for a while
