This dropped as the new (?!) album by The Cure, as stated by YT Channel.....what's your take on it ?!

It says video not available

So I don't know

First album in 20 years, and their first original material in 16 years. The buzz is it's their best album in over 30 years (since Wish or even Disintegration). I just found out this morning.

I've only listened to the first four songs, but the sound is fantastic. It's amazing. You wouldn't be able to tell they've aged-- not even by Robert Smith's voice. He sounds exactly the same as he did in the late 80's.

Yep, they've aged well and so has their sound. Down thru the years I didn't like all of their albums\songs , but you can't expect every album to be to one's liking. I love the new album.

Dark, epic, love the slow build some of the songs have got going on, loving it. It's on constant play at the moment, they haven't lost a step.

With Sherdog down over the weekend I took the opportunity to watch this 3 hour concert from Nov 1st. Includes the new album plus so much more.

Agreed, it's more about building these individual worlds of sound piece by piece than catchy melodies. "And Nothing is Forever" is just fucking incredible.

The Cure have lost some of their purely dark gothic sound, but I didn't feel the loss because I prefer their more 'underground' sound and the new album has it. I had the same feeling with Darkadelic, new Damned album.

A little too bombastic sounding for my taste in the Cure, but obviously they are still highly skilled.

Well, The Cure have certainly moved on since their early daze.
Like it or not, they're still kickin' a mighty ass in the music scene.
