I don't know if you guys have heard of the Methode Lafay, a French calisthenics bodybuilding program, but I've been waiting for it to be translated to English for awhile. I really want to read it.

It's incredibly popular in France and it has the most transformation before/after pictures I've ever seen one system have.

Most of the guys who do it look exactly like you'd expect calisthenic guys to look like, but some of them look like absolute mass monsters and I'm going to say they're clearly on steroids.

But then there's a class of inbetween people that leaves me wondering. They look like gymnasts and not lithe calisthenics guys.

Here are some of the before and after pics.

Any idea how it differs from the programs that can be found on Gymnastic Bodies?

The US just started cracking down on internet marketers within the last few years for phony reviews, bogus claims, etc. I guess France is behind the curve.

They both focus on calisthenics progressions and pairing flexibility work with each strength lift.

Gymnastic Bodies has mobility work that I don't think Lafay does.

Gymnastic Bodies uses a basic 3-weeks-loading / 1-week-deload cycle that's basic powerlifting periodization. Lafay is all about adding reps and is a high-rep program, frequently working beyond failure with rest-pause work. Similar to HIT. Gymnastic Bodies goes for strength.

There is no skill work in Lafay.

And I would imagine that Gymnastic Bodies is just much more well-rounded in terms developing strength and flexibility in the entire body.

Steroids + jacking off = a left forearm that would make Popeye envious.

I'm calling steroids and even weightlifting on him.

Your link has some great examples of what I'm talking about, though.

I want to call steroids, but I don't know enough about them. This last guy I posted with the pink watch looks like a clear case of roids to me.

Why is OP so obsessed with whether or not these dudes are natty lol?

I also do not understand why OP would have questions about this training method and the seemingly impossible results its practitioners post on the internet. OP must be a gay homosexual :eek::eek:, imo.
