The bill would subsequently get rid of either George Washington or Abraham Lincoln's birthday as a holiday and designate May 1 as “International Workers’ Day." International Socialist Workers' Day, or "May Day" had been observed in countries under Communist rule and was an official holiday of the Soviet Union. http://insider.foxnews.com/2018/05/...place-lincoln-or-washingtons-birthday-may-day This seems like an attempt to try and stifle American history. Why not just create a new holiday and call it "International workers day?" While there is definitely a socialist overtone here (which I do not agree with) a day celebrating international workers is fine, as America is a melting pot and should be celebrated as such. I just don't find it necessary to piss on our forefather's who got us here.
