"Gutted I didn't get the bonus tonight but I'm not afraid to go home work and save so I can get back to Tristar asap and hopefully be back in the octagon soon."

I know the fighter pay topic has been beaten to death, but you'd think top 10 fighters in the division should be getting paid enough to train full time without having to get a job in between fight camps to afford it.

Wait until that Reebok cheque comes. Calder wood gonna be living the good life.

To me it would make sense if gym owners were also agents. Then you invest in the talent and get a cut of their earnings. They can switch gyms and pay out of pocket but they'd still get that cut for X number of years.

she got a $50,000 bonus her last fight.

Seems like a smart business decision

There is NOBODY holding a gun to their head to fight. UFC pays more then any other MMA company and that's why the fighters want to be there
1. Do people buy tickets to come see you
2. Do people buy PPV to watch you
3. Are fans buying your merchandise - the Reebok deal sucks but its a way to make more money
4. Are you headlining fights, are you Main card?
5. Do fans even NO who you are. Whats you value to company
If your answer is NO to any of these then why should you be making Millions of dollars.

Yet... Dom takes swipes at Faber for charging TAM members. Firaz is a horrible business man like Dana.

:p

This is true
A fighter with some value to his name like Benson Henderson can afford to go to Bellator and make more money
I hate it when fans say fighters like JoJo can make more money in other organizations lmao
They'd be making lesser than the mid-card money they make in the UFC

Good post

UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Leites

Fight with Cortney Casey. Joanne Calderwood: $76,500 ($12,000 to show, $12,000 win bonus, $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus, $2,500 Reebok sponsorship)

damn, she is getting probably 14/14k for this win and 2,5k peanuts from Reebok = 30,500. Cerrone was saying government is tax is high here in Canda

How do you know Tristar doesn't just charge out the ass?

top notch fight camps are expensive - I'm really lucky my gym at home doesn't charge me that much at all while at the same time offering good instruction. I hope Joanne can train at Tristar - I haven't seen much of her fights to be honest but I did catch the last one and this one and she has improved so much.

Gyms doesnt have a small percentage for the fight and thats it‘s all?

depends on the gym. some charge a flat fee (e.g. TAM charges $250/week for just training), some charge a proportion or your pay (e.g. 15%) while some charge a combination.
