So now that Cain sits atop the Heavyweight mountain again, how do you see his second reign playing out? Theres already talk of the rubbermatch with JDS, theres talk of the bigfoot/Overeem winner getting the shot and even Werdum/Nog winner. Seeing as he's already beaten JDS,Bigfoot and Nog in convincing fashion, how do you see his reign playing out?

He's got far too many holes in his game to hold onto the title.

I don't think its a matter of him having too many holes, but rather there being too much talent - and too much power - in the division. Anyone who can hold the title for say 4 defenses will be considered great during this time period.

Meanwhile, Anderson Silva justs keeps looking better and better when you consider his reign.

His striking is SHITE and he's not as fast as he thinks he is. On top of that a glass chin.

His striking is shite but just outstruck JDS? WOW, you have no idea.

Glass chin? He's been finished once, by JDS who has ko's 11 of his 15 wins.

is this a joke? he just dominated a HW who was being called the new Fedor, was knocking people out left, right and centre and looked untouchable. be quiet please.

Cain Velasquez: dropped a few times against Kongo = a lot of people think he has a glass chin.

Nick Diaz: Dropped over and over during his career = one of the best chins in the sport.

This sport how so many clueless people.

As for the OP, Helwani and Iole re PAID to cover this sport yet bring up something as stupid as an immediate rematch, did they not see the 5 round beating?

Overeem is going to be an interesting test.

Do not want to open up a can of worms but JDS's striking in that fight was awful as well. He painfully telagraphs his kicks and he looks petrified throwing punches. He hopes he lands a one-two then he ducks under for the td - every fucking time.
And his chin is AT LEAST suspect. He was dropped multiple times by Kongo you have to remember as well.

This is hypebole but still I do think Cain has a clear weakness standing that will prevent him from having an extended reign, espeically with Overeem waiting in the wings.

don't see anyone keeping up with his insane pace.
werdum? cain keeps it standing and rag dolls him to the ground, rinse and repeat.
overeem? overeem will probably gas himself out and mentally fold like always.
jon jones? will get ragdolled and won't be able to stop the single leg.
jds? might play out as the second fight but who knows.

And guess why JDS didnt look good?? Because Cain went after him and beat him up, he didnt give JDS the chance to get off.

Werdum's actually the worst matchup for him among the highly ranked guys, IMO, even though I don't think Werdum matches up as well against the other guys in the top 5.

Overeem and Werdum present very interesting challenges. JDS III will be where I think this ends.

Are you talking about the guy who just dominated the "best" heavyweight everywhere in every round incluiding the stand up even though JDS has the "best" hands in the heavyweight division. He had the champ looking like someone who only had a punchers chance which pretty much was the scenario.

If Overeem takes care of business against Bigfoot, he should get 1st title shot, after that Werdum if he beats Nog, by then I think JDS may have a 2 more wins to his name and ready for another shot!!!

Lets just stop with the "reign" before he loses his first title defence again.

Cain does have excellent cardio which is a huge huge advantage in the HW division, but doesnt matter whether he can go 5rounds if he gets knocked out in the first again.
