Personally, while I give Cain the edge, I think Browne is being heavily underestimated on here. I can understand why, since I've yet to see a single person that actually likes him, but still. Writing off fighters (especially top 10 fighters) has almost always been dumb, but to do it for HWs seems especially silly.

While Browne's striking defense has never been anything to write home about, neither is Cain's. Browne is also extremely tough. He withstood Overeem's onslaught and came back to win, and also took a fuckton of punishment from one of the sharpest, most motivated version's of Arlovski we've seen to date. Browne also has power.

As far as takedowns, Browne is actually near the top of the division statistically in TDD at around 83%, although he's never fought anyone like Cain. Cain will also have to be very wary of takedowns against the cage, seeing as Browne has two devastating elbow KO's with his back against the cage. Josh Barnett is a perpetual top 10 heavyweight and Browne violently finished him.

While I expect Cain to look better than he did against Werdum, there's also that chance "prime Cain" is gone, seeing as injuries might have possibly have taken their toll.

How do you see it playing out?

Either Cain wears him down and finishes him in the 2nd or 3rd or Browne catches him early. I favor and am hoping for the former but as you said Browne is not to be underestimated though I would like his chances better if he went away from Edmond and Rousey.

Cain as always comes back with a mean streak, expect a JDS rematch performance but Browne doesnt hold up long .Expect the fight to go one round ,no more than two.Cain for me is still the man to beat when at his best which he will be. Ithink Cain rocks him against the fence and finishes him over the 3 minute mark.

its HW, anything can happen, but given both of their bodies of work, id go with cain via tko

I think Cain will Cain him. Pressure him, smother him, lay a beating on him en route to a TKO finish.

Browne always has a puncher's chance, but I don't see him defending takedowns and outstriking him. Like you said, he has those vicious elbows when they're up close, but Cain will be training to avoid getting into that situation, and I think he'll do that successfully.

Cain is just 10x the fighter. Browne is tough, has good clinch and elbows, but there's no way in hell he gets the upper hand in the grappling department, even standing. Browne's striking is pitiful and Cain's is fairly decent and more than enough to avoid Browne's ridiculous punches.

As I said before, Cain will do grisly things to Browne, and I will thoroughly enjoy watching it.

I hope Browne knocks him out. I am sick of having Cain shoved down our throats constantly and the vast overrating of him.

If browne was at greg Jacksons gym. I'd go with him but instead he's training with some bum coach called Edward

Browne has the style and power to beat Cain, don't know if he'll be able to get the right gameplan though

A fan of both fighters so hoping for a good fight

Cain ud

Gonna be a repeat of the beating Cain gave Bigfoot only more blood. Motivated Sea-Level Cain with the look in he's eye :)

I really don't like either of these guys much.

Travis... There are so many reasons to dislike this fuckin guy. No need to go into them. But some guy that big who can hide his goodies inside a grape smuggling banana hammock says alot. The fact he made that shit public, says the rest.

Cain... nobody wants a champ that can't fight more than once every year or so. But as far as I'm concerned his injuries are mostly self inflicted injuries that could have been avoided. So just go away.

So for different reasons I think they are both pretty much useless. A draw with an immediate rematch, honestly suits me just fine. Just keep them both out of title fights.

Apparently UFC 200 will be 2000 ft above sea level. Cain might be fucked :p

I voted Cain by TKO. He should be able to over whelm Browne. I just hope this fight actually happens though!! thats my main concern. I'll be excited for it when I actually see Cain at the weigh ins.

Cain is the favorite for a reason, but a sloppy take down attempt will result in a vicious elbow KO. If a patient EconoCain shows up, I see Cain wearing Travis out and getting a 2nd or 3rd round GNP KO

I agree with you, Browne is being slightly underestimated here. He's a dangerous guy and not only that, there's always a chance that Cain may not be the same anymore.

I still believe in his power though and I'm picking Cain by TKO.

I thought I was the only who felt this way.
Not really a fan of either but I'm sick of Cain.
War Browne!
