Cain Velasquez making a return to MMA retiring from Pro Wrestling

Provided he keeps all his matches at sea level, he should be OK.

Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me! Sherbros exposed Cain to be injured before his last fight and just wanted to collect a check, this time we will keep even a closer eye on him and any suspect injury because we Sherbros can see throughout the masquerade Cain!

Cain is from the school of "if you're working hard, it must be a good workout"

Cain is going to get Rousey'd if he comes back. He can't shoot for takedowns anymore and his hands have slowed down too. Maybe his cardio is still there but you actually need to pose some sort of threat in order to take advantage of superior cardio.

I'm a Fan and am all for it, but unless he somehow acquired Wolverine like regenerative self healing powers, I want him to be wrapped like an Egyptian Mummy in the Octagon in-order to avoid injuries

Has anyone heard about this? I'm honestly a massive fan of any fighter from AKA like Khabib, DC, Cain, ect ect. This kinda makes me sad to see. I could definitely see Cain getting some success in the lower top 10 of the division but he's not a big heavyweight.

During his prime he would always do this thing where he would just blitz into people with constant pressure and he was hittable during his entries. He'd get knocked out and fall but then once his body was halfway down to the canvas he would wake up and pop back up right into clinching his opponent against the cage. When he would do this his knees were in a bad position and his legs were bent when he would pop back up. If you watch his fight with Francis you can see that Cain had pushed Francis back against the cage and was almost into the clinch when Francis hit him with that short hook that knocked him out. He started to fall KO'd and you can see him wake up while he's falling. Cain was gonna do his pop up and clinch the guy move but his knee gets blown out from his leg being bent.

What are your guys feelings about Cain considering a return to MMA? Are you excited or worried? That ability to pop back up after getting rocked was an important part of his style that made a legend. I worry that now without this he won't be able to make the adjustment to his style and change the way he enters the pocket against powerful strikers.

Did you read the article? This just his coach saying that anything's possible. It says nothing about Cain considering a return.

Also his knee didn't get blown out, he got KO'd. Cain himself has said this.

Awesome.
Maybe with the time off his body is healed up. Maybe he can get a championship run in. Two solid wins then a title shot. Wonder how he holds up to the big boys and Jones. Makes it more interesting at least.

He must need money real bad.

Cain was injured all the time and greying in his early 30s lol. He's probably getting paid almost nothing in wrestling and has to travel and train a lot. Probably figured it's better to get his ass kicked for pennies once in a while in MMA vs wrestling.

Kinda sad the dude couldnt retire with his UFC champion pay

He needs to end up in an org with zero testing. The only way he makes it to fight night is if he's got an entire pharmacy running through his veins.

I once thought he was gonna go down as the greatest fighter of all time…I had all his dethrone shirts….. :(

He wasn't hurt in the Francis fight. He just got ko'd

Idk dude, he got flash KOd and his knee folded funny. Not saying the injury ended the fight, the punch definitely did. But That knee couldn’t have been good the next day

Prime Cain was the best HW the UFC ever had IMO.

I don't know about you guys but I'm excited :) // :)
Always been a big fan of Cain :) Let's go Cain!!
