Cain Velasquez career retrospective, thoughts?

That's a 30 minute video .

Are the cliffs just that Cain is greatest HW ever?

I'd have to disagree. And I'm not watching that video.
the "greatest ever" thing is more a gimmick and just a title. I'm just using that to talk about and show fights. thanks for not watching and still sharing your opinion, I guess

his gas tank was beyond human (like bizarrely beyond human), and couldn't put a string of healthy fights together to develop a GOAT legacy.

He’s the greatest ufc heavyweight of all time
He could have been. But only won 4 title fights, his injuries got in the way of his legacy in my opinion. Couture has 6 heavyweight title wins, then you have Stipe also on 6, both have to be ahead of Cain in my eyes.

I explain at the end of the video that Cain's GOAT status is based purely off eye test and "what could have been", the numbers simply don't support his argument for the title. We have never seen a heavyweight compete for 25 minutes at that pace and may never see it again. Its cliché in sports but the "intangibles" are what sets him apart in my mind from those greats

I don't think there can be a wide variety of opinions about Cain's career.

-Limited Resume because of rematches and injury
-Insanely high peak (yes, he would be a match for the best versions of Fedor, DC (if they fought to win), and Stipe).
-Monster gas tank and great pressure as his defining fight attributes
-Leg extension GIF
-JDS's face being gradually turned into hamburger R1-R5 GIF

Totally I agree, that's why I have to chime in if someone calls him the HW goat. Without injuries I have no doubt he'd be the best heavyweight of all time.

"Maybe" Igor? That should be the first one!
When I got a bit older I realized Vovchanchyns insane like 30-0 record from 1998 was all Ukrainian villagers with no record. I LOVE his highlights and think he was way ahead of his time but I wanted to get the dudes with a real claim done first. Of everyone mentioned Ice Cold Igor is probably my favorite

Cain was the ufcs' top hw with the most potential but his propensity to get injured sidetracked his whole career.

It was so unfortunate when his knee buckled in the francis fight, he might ve given him a very tough fight if it wasn't for that. Unfortunately the Cain from now would even have extra trouble beating Cyril Gane

He was as good as anyone ever at heavyweight but injuries will getcha. Current day Stipe is the most accomplished UFC heavyweight, but if you asked me in a prime vs prime matchup who would win, my answer is Cain over Stipe every single day.

Ngannou vs Velasquez ruined my week. What a naïve retard I was
