Media Cain is not aging well.

Really sad to see. Just remember at one point, Cain was hailed as the next Fedor. And he more than demonstrated that with his destructions.

He definitely did not more than demonstrate he was the next Fedor. Good fighter when he was healthy though

With that high alcool beers your drinking every ufc card you must look very old too !! :) I took an entire year of drinking boozes more than normally and it hit me hard

I actually look younger than my age. Good genetics, I guess. Can't hide the early gray though.

To be fair to Cain, he is slouching in this picture. I'm sure he can take better photos if he poses

It takes me like 100 pics to get a decent one, so I just don't take pics LOL and there's zero chance a candid photo would look good

Remember when Cain went 4 - 1 against only JDS and Big Foot in 3 years and then the UFC tried to say he was better than Fedor?

Cain was a machine at his very best. Definitely one of the best I've ever seen. It's too bad his body was made of glass. With that said anyone trying to compare his run to Fedors was a shameless shill.

Ageing well sounds like an oxymoron to me. Ultimately, we all start to slowly look like shit.

edit - unless you’re Roger Waters. That I’ll agree with.

Waters’ politics are certainly aging poorly.

Good thing Cain never used roids. It's like a cash advance on your life and you end up looking older than your actual age.

Too many injuries and his knee got finished off in that Ngannou fight

Life is expensive and making money is very stressful so that could contribute to him again fast having a family to feed

I would argue though that actually style wise Cain was much closer to a HW Shogun, specifically Shoguns early relentless style in Pride and we saw that also lead to physical breakdown.

I suspect part of it is the kind of grappling involved, the way they chain it into their striking and just keep after it means there often trying to hit or defend takedowns when their off balance and that means serious joint injuries are highly likely long term.
