Caesaro Leaves WWE

RIP cesaro

I am a big fan but he is pretty old at this point. WWE had chances to do more with him but never did.

Mr. Cornette weighing in on Cesaro's departure.

I appreciate someone I respect giving props to one of my favorites of the present day generation. Cesaro is so talented, I said when he and Bryan had some of their last encounters in the E they made wrestling look real to me again. But goddamn it he just looked right doing the job! We all see could have been used different but my feeling is a) he was fine with things, but wanted to maybe have a title run before retirement and better lasting memory of how he went out and maybe they didn't feel the same so he opted to take his vision elsewhere or b) this last year was a trial run of something different and they wanted to more or less return him to the enhancing wizard for less and the trial was fun but a no.

He's a decent midcard talent and nothing more. He's 41 so I hope he made some decent money while he was in The E. He'd be a good hand for whomever he ends up working for, but he was never a top level guy and with continue to be just a solid hand where ever he ends up...unless he goes somewhere real bush league like TNA...then I guess he could be a top dude.

To be honest, I always saw Cesaro as somebody who was misdirected.

His best work was when he was feuding with Regal on NXT. An arrogant young lion being superior to the withered old veteran who was fighting up.

I always thought that he was something of a square peg in a round hole on the main roster, and it made him somewhat unremarkable.

If he goes to AEW, he'll have some bangers.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember a time where he had a good win streak, or looked dominant. He had some spots where he could display his strength, but it always seemed that he lost more than he won, and I can't remember much character work, or storylines with him at all.

Yea Cesaro is the type of guy you have to know how to use. If you use him properly he can be an incredibly effective member of the roster and have good matches where both him and his opponents look great. He lacks some charisma and just has something missing that kept him from being a star. I think its the lack of killer instinct and he is big but he is not huge.

He should have forced his way out when they told him that he and Shemus would lose a tag match against a 10 year old.

I actually would like to see Cesaro as a upper card guy in AEW.

My legit prediction is they just lump him into an uncompelling tag team with Christian LOL

I don't like that how most the roster seems to be part of some random stable or tag team or whatever. It's very hard to build stars or make people stand out that way.

That was and remains one of my biggest gripes about AEW. The way the roster interacts is ridiculous, stables everywhere you look, no idea who is with who, overbooked cards with stupid matches that feature 8 wrestlers because their stables interacted. . . One of the reason I threw in towel.

Some of AEW's stables have ten people in them which is way too many. Wrestling stables make more sense with at most four wrestlers. Five people can work as long as one is a manager and not an active wrestler such as the Heenan family.

Exactly, and 4 should feel like an insurmountable number. If you need more than 4 guys to be an effective alliance, is your stable even a threat? They don't know how to book shit.

So this happen yet or nah?
