OP expresses what I've been feeling for a year or two. The War Room might as well be called the Woke Room now, and this forum's being turned into War Room Part Deux more and more by the week it seems. Mods are convinced that I'm a "race-baiter" somehow, and I've been put on a "watch list" :rolleyes: Like so many other sites lately, the no politics rule that was suddenly instituted in '23 for...reasons never seems to apply to anybody from a certain side ever. I've made sure not to burn any bridges, and I know better than to make any melodramatic farewell post but I've lost interest in this place and when I leave I'll just...leave. If I wanted to join Reddit or Bluesky then I would've joined Reddit or Bluesky. I'm 52 and I have many other interests, I know my life will go on if I don't post here again. Right now I'm at a point where others will need to convince me why I should.

You guys have no idea how much time and care the mods her put into trying to get it right. Every decision, especially big an noticeable ones often has several mods weighing and and there are decisions that span hundreds of posts over certain infractions, bans etc.

That being said every mod is just a poster that decided to volunteer their time. So it’s hard to handle the volume needed on the forum with just a handful of people. It does require a legit full on team. People go through seasons of life and every season doesn’t include sherdog for some mods. So there’s always turnover and there’s always new faces but there are “pillars” that have been in place for at least a decade. And my that I mean mods like Jack and kowboy who sort of set the tempo and guide the rest of the mods in a way. And for the most part I have to say I objectively feel it’s gotten right 99% of the time. But then again, no one’s perfect so I’d say that’s pretty outstanding. After all mods are people too.

I come on here to share a laugh and try to have fun. I don't get involved in political discussions ever. As far as the mods go i dont have issues with them because I try to post positive things. Its a good place to be if you follow a few guidelines. Hope TS stays in the end.

I think that’s probably the average sherdog experience. That’s what it’s always been for me when not on staff as well
 
No one ever truly leaves Sherdog.

Its built into our core now. Any time there is a crazy fight and your mrs just isnt hyped, you will come back here to your Sherbros and we shall we waiting with open arms.

I have left and returned about two dozen times since 2000-2001 when I was lurking the forum because my dial-up internet was too slow to blog with, so you might be back....

Thats such a weird line, we're all gonna die. I mean "you can never leave?" How do you know? Are you the arbiter of the afterlife? We're all just going to hang around forever in this same place? That's highly fucking doubtful. It can't be proven. And yet they say it with so much zeal and fervor. I just don't buy it. I think we CAN leave. As well as check out. And besides, it's not like we have to check in and check out. I just show up and like, bam, I'm here. So yeah, I don't buy into any of that shit, sounds like something they said because it sounds cool. Cool solo though. Everyone loves that solo. It really rips. All the same, it's a pretty great song. And for that, we can forever be grateful. RIP Bobby, you will be missed.
